Taking this Ithaca Yellow Jacket alumni and former quarterback to a football game in his hometown was a blast! The stadium may look a little different then it did "back then", but his love for the game remains the same!

Lots and lots of flowers = butterflies and hummingbirds to watch! There's always something blooming at Deerfield.

Why? Because gardening isn't just about nurturing plants; it nurtures the mind too! Studies show that working with plants and flowers can be incredibly therapeutic for memory care!

After "Bandit" the squirrel helped himself to THREE of our suet cakes in one afternoon...we received this special gift (green bird feeder) from one of our families! "Squirrel proof"!? We shall see! 🤣

So grateful for the love that our families show towards all of our residents.

Just look at that smile!

This week, we'd like to challenge you to spread some joy by doing a random act of kindness for a senior (or two) in your life. Remember that sometimes the smallest gesture can make the biggest impact.

Here's some ideas to get you started:
- Surprise them with flowers or a self-made gift
- Do a chore for them
- Pay them a visit
- Tell them you love them
- Offer to drive them to their errands
- Call and listen to their stories
- Make them something to eat

Drop a comment below with the random act of kindness you plan to do. Together, we can show seniors just how much they are valued and loved!
