🌈 Happy Pride Month! I may be a little late to the celebration, but the love, support, and affirmation are here every day of the year.

As an acupuncturist specializing in reproductive health, I’m honored to support people of all identities and family structures. I believe in calling people what they want to be called, honoring their experiences, and walking alongside them as they build their families—on their own terms, in whatever way feels right.

Acupuncture for ALL walks of Life isn’t just my motto—it’s the heart of my practice.

To my LGBTQIA+ patients, colleagues, and community: you are seen, valued, and always welcome here. 💖

💫 Acupressure Highlight: Kidney 1 — Your Grounding Point! 💫

Feeling a little anxious, scattered, or just need a reset? Try acupressure on Kidney 1 (K1), a powerful point in East Asian Medicine (EAM) that helps ground your energy and bring you back to center.

📍Where is K1?
It’s on the sole of your foot, right in the dip just behind the ball of your foot, between the second and third toes. It’s the first point on the Kidney channel and the only one on the bottom of the foot. Talk about a powerful foundation!

✨Why we love K1:

Calms anxiety + overthinking

Supports deeper sleep

Helps with dizziness or headaches

Grounds your energy (super helpful while waiting on that Beta-hCG)

Gently nourishes Kidney Qi, key in EAM for vitality + fertility

💆‍♀️How to DIY:

Sit comfortably and rest one foot in your lap.

Use your thumb to press or massage the point gently but firmly.

Try slow circles or steady pressure for 1–2 minutes.

Take deep breaths and let the calm settle in.

Switch feet if you’d like!

Whether you're prepping for an embryo transfer, trying to relax before bed, or just need a moment of calm, K1 is a go-to. Give it a try and feel the shift!

🔥 What is moxibustion?
(aka the cozy cousin of acupuncture)

Moxibustion is a traditional therapy that uses the warmth of burning mugwort, called moxa, to gently stimulate acupuncture points.

The heat penetrates deep into the body, helping to move Qi and blood, boost circulation, and support your body’s natural healing.

✨ It can help with:
• Strengthening the immune system
• Supporting digestion
• Easing aches and pain
• Warming the womb
• Turning breech babies

It’s one of my favorite tools in East Asian medicine. Gentle and surprisingly relaxing... like acupuncture, but warm. 🔥

💡 There are also simple moxa tools I recommend for home use. I’ll guide you on how and where to use them, so you can continue your care between sessions.

💬 Curious if moxa could help you?
Send me a message or book a session. Let’s get you feeling cozy and balanced again.

It's a Special Edition of Monday Munchies- on a Friday, no less!

🔥 Happy National Donut Day! 🍩✨

In East Asian Medicine, everything comes back to balance — yin and yang, warmth and coolness, nourishment and movement.

So yes… even donuts have energetic properties! Let’s take a look at this sweet treat through an EAM lens:

🍩 Flour supports your Spleen Qi and digestion (we love a solid foundation).
🍩 Sugar is sweet and warming. Great in small doses, but too much can create Dampness and sluggishness.
🍩 Eggs nourish Yin and Blood, offering grounding and substance.
🍩 Butter and oil help moisten dryness, but in excess can lead to internal Dampness.
🍩 And frying? That adds heat. Warming, but potentially too much if your body already runs hot.

So if you’re celebrating today with a donut (or two), just know you’re participating in a moment of sweetness, warmth, and joy — and yes, that can be part of balance too. ✨

Shoutout to Kane’s Gluten Free Donuts for those of us with celiac who still want to celebrate deliciously and safely! 🍩💖

The other day, one of my amazing patients came in and asked, “With all the tariffs, will your prices go up?” It was a great question, and I’m so glad they brought it up!

I’m excited to share that I have taken proactive steps to ensure that our prices will stay the same. We’ve stockpiled enough acupuncture needles to last us for the next 6 months! 🧘‍♀️✨ We hope by then things will be more settled. This means you can continue your treatments worry-free, even in the face of potential cost increases.

Your health and peace of mind are what matter most to me. Thank you for being a part of our community and for trusting me with your wellness journey! 💖

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month!

March 11th is my “surgiversary” so I will always share this photo today. I had been on a cancellation list with a well trained area excision specialist and was looking at a very very long wait (10 months). I received a call that Monday that there was a cancellation so I jumped at the chance!

1 in 10 people have endometriosis

It is thought to be more painful than having a heart attack or giving birth.

For the 27 years that I lived without the support of a provider, I was told this was normal. Unfortunately, common and normal is not the same thing. If you are missing work, school, or activities that you love due to period pain or pain elsewhere in the cycle, that isn’t normal.

Surgery was life changing for me. It brought me back to a baseline that enabled my support tools to work again. Tools like supplements, acupuncture, and diet. It’s been five years and I’m incredibly grateful I was able to take that cancellation.

Sending love to all of my fellow

🌈✨For those of you who left me a heart in the comments of my reiki offering post, I just finished sending absentee reiki in the style of my second teacher John Harvey Gray. A full body session was offered for each of you. When you have a moment, take a time to breath and say to yourself, “I welcome healing energy and love in!”

Offering reiki in this way always brings a smile to my face as I recall learning the mantra or jumon that we use for this. John had us circle up in a conga line and say it over and over again! 🌈✨

Hey. It's totally fine if you want to turn the porch light off and ghost. 👻

Halloween can be a tough holiday when you're struggling to grow your family. 🎃

If you feel like you'd like to participate, you can always put a bowl of treats out for any trick-or-treaters that pass by.

There are fun ways to celebrate spooky season that might feel less difficult. Spend your day doing whatever feels right to you. 🧡

Good morning, friends! ☀️

The sun is shining and it’s a beautiful day in the greater Boston area. This is a friendly reminder to make some time to get out into nature this weekend.

The East Asian Medicine liver is responsible for moving the qi through our bodies. Stress can knot the qi like bumps on the road. This can lead to dis-ease.

What can you do to combat this stress? Well, the liver is the wood element in East Asian Medicine and movement is medicine! So grab a friend and take some time to wander a path lined with trees.

Give yourself permission to make it a full sensory experience. What colors do you see? Feel the crunch of fallen leaves 🍁 🍂 under your feet. Grab a warm drink to hold in your hand and take some sips along the way.

I’ll post a few favorite hiking trails in the comments!
