Happy National Pet Day!

Shared last summer, Muggsy took off with a half-full, hot peppermint mocha latte. Longtime DeBeen family and baker extraordinaire, his mom Angie and family noticed when walking by. She says that he managed to take it inside his kennel "without spilling a drop!"

Husband Andy says, "I guess Muggsy is a big fan of DeBeen coffee as well!"

Angie says, "He gets stuff into his kennel all the time without opening said item up and with no teeth marks on any of the items he gets in there. We’re just baffled by it. He got this off the end table. My crazy Muggsy! He’s a five-year-old old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel."

Happy Easter! We have a special treat for the holiday. Today we share a bonus coffee walk at Reynolda Gardens and the greenhouse with orchids, traditional for Easter, and colorful spring flowers.

A quick drive from DeBeen WS, Reynolda Gardens are only 10-15 min away and such a nice place to visit, as are the house and village. Reynolda is near the main Wake Forest University campus.

For this coffee walk many flowers were in bloom, from daffodils and hyacinth to tulips and cherry trees. Much more was budding and sprouting!

Reynolda Gardens are free, and open sunrise to sunset. The conservatory is open Tues-Sat, 9:30 am-4:30 pm and Sun, 1:30-4:30 pm. The paths are wheelchair accessible, and enjoyed by young and old with plenty of benches to rest and reflect, including with shade.

Popular with professional and recreational photographers and nature lovers, walking around the gardens is an easy and pleasant stroll. Reynolda Gardens offer a lovely way to slow down and appreciate nature, not far from Downtown Winston-Salem and about 45 min from DeBeen HP.

Stretch your legs! Get a change of scenery! Get in those steps and reap the benefits of outdoor exercise!

It’s the most beautiful time of year in the NC Triad! This is tulip magnolia and cherry trees.

You’ve probably noticed increasing daylight, besides from the time change last month. There’s still twilight after 8 pm now, with sunrise arriving a half-hour earlier by the end of April. We gain about 2 min of daylight daily.

We’re spending more time outdoors, including lingering with drinks in front of DeBeen cafes. We always enjoy seeing your photos of sunrises and sunsets, lunar shots, rainbows, cloud formations, snow, fog and thunderstorms, and other interesting skies and weather events.

Take our cups and wear our t-shirts on your walks and adventures. Vacations too: By the water, up in the mountains, at exotic locations. We love sharing your photos of DeBeen on the go! Tag DeBeen on your coffee and related selfies and we’ll be in touch about resharing.

Start and end your day with more sun and DeBeen! Fill your cup with springtime!

No joke! It's such a gorgeous spring day in the Triad. Get out and enjoy, DeBeen drink in hand! Grab a healthy, tasty treat to nibble on later.

Not only is it the first day of April and April Fool's Day, but it's National Walking Day! Walk, jog, hop on down to DeBeen!

See the full pink moon rise at sunset and pass overhead all night long. This photo was shot with some sunset color on Mon eve, the moon still waxing at 95% illumination.

Plus Easter weekend is coming up! DeBeen will be open on Sun, April 5, slightly reduced hours (TBA). Classes at Pure Light Yoga, next door to DeBeen HP, are cancelled.
