What does that mean? 🤔

after 20 years of down dogs, my heels still don’t touch the ground - and i’m finally okay with that.

this once very difficult pose has, however, turned from a pose i D R E A D, into a pose i crave, and is now a very restful, relaxing place for me to decompress in.🕊️🤤✌️

my current mantra:
practice makes progress, & perfection doesn’t exist.

With a daily meditation practice.

A daily meditation practice turns your mind from your worst enemy into your best friend 👯‍♀️💕

WHY??
Because YOU ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS. And you are not even your mind! Your mind is a TOOL you have to help you navigate your life. You just have to learn how to use it 🤓

SO WHAT DO I DO??
Sit down and focus on one single thing (like the breath or a mantra) for a few minutes EVERY day. Start small (5 minutes), and gradually work your way up to a longer sit time as you start to feel more comfortable. This will begin to allow you to harness the reigns on that crazy mind, and start to steer it in the right direction. With practice, controlling your mind will become second nature, and you’ll finally be able to reap the benefits of that incredibly powerful bio-machine. 🦾🦾

Learning about my Vedic astrology chart has helped me SO much with navigating the ups and downs of life, and seeing the bigger picture. But mainly, it’s taught me that I AM NOT THE CONTROLLER...
…a super hard pill for me to swallow, but one that’s been equally as liberating to begin to accept. 🕊

As I’ve started to dig into this science, I’ve had a lot of fun reading my friend’s charts and sharing with them any insights I see 👀🤲✨
