My business bestie/sister-friend and I were in Costa Rica, planning the next burnout recovery and prevention retreat, Rest Revive Restore: Tap Into Your Overflow. We were in content-shooting mode when Sharhonda turned to me and said, “Put your foot up on the tree.” I looked at her like she’d lost her mind and said, “What?!” She just smiled and said, “Just do it.” So I did. And y’all, we couldn’t stop laughing afterward!
That moment gave me permission to be silly—something I didn’t even know I needed. It was freeing, joyful, and honestly, the reminder I needed to let go of perfection and just be.
Why does this matter?
Being silly and letting yourself laugh is more than just fun. It’s therapy for the soul. It reduces stress, shifts your mindset, and helps you reset when life gets heavy. Sometimes, it’s these little moments that bring the most joy and healing.
So here’s my challenge to you: Find a moment to laugh, play, and let yourself be silly today. Dance in your kitchen, make funny faces in the mirror, or even put your foot up on a tree if you feel like it! Whatever you do, let joy find you.
Tag someone who needs this reminder and share your favorite way to let loose! ✨
P.S. If you’re craving more moments of joy and rest, join us in Costa Rica this October. The link is in my bio. Your reset is waiting. ❤️
