Cannabis can help treat inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, by reducing inflammation in the digestive tract and calming overactive immune responses. THC and CBD interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system to ease abdominal pain, cramping, and diarrhea while improving appetite and overall comfort. For many patients, cannabis offers a natural way to manage symptoms and improve quality of life alongside standard medical care.

August is Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Awareness Month, a time to shed light on this rare and often life-altering neuromuscular condition that affects strength, mobility, and independence.

SMA impacts the motor neurons responsible for muscle movement, leading to progressive muscle weakness and atrophy over time. For many individuals living with SMA, managing pain, muscle tightness, fatigue, and related symptoms is a daily challenge. While there is no cure, supportive care plays a vital role in preserving quality of life—and for some, that includes medical cannabis.

In Texas, the Compassionate Use Program allows access to cannabis-based medicine for certain qualifying conditions, especially those that involve chronic pain, muscle spasticity, and neurodegenerative issues. THC and CBD may offer relief by helping reduce muscle stiffness, support rest, and ease the emotional toll of chronic illness.

At Texas Cannabis Clinic, we believe that care should be compassionate, accessible, and tailored to each person’s unique journey. During SMA Awareness Month, we stand with individuals and families navigating this condition—and we’re here to help you explore your options. 💛

August is Palliative Care & Cancer Pain Awareness Month, a time to recognize the importance of comfort, dignity, and support for those living with serious illnesses. 💜

For many Texans, palliative care means more than just managing physical pain. It’s about improving quality of life, easing the emotional burden, and helping patients and their families navigate the most difficult chapters with compassion and control. That’s where medical cannabis can play a powerful role.

Under the Texas Compassionate Use Program, individuals facing cancer and other qualifying conditions may be eligible to receive cannabis-based treatment to help manage pain, nausea, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and loss of appetite, common side effects that can drastically impact quality of life. In a palliative care setting, medical cannabis isn’t just a treatment option. It’s a tool for reclaiming comfort, choice, and peace.

At Texas Cannabis Clinic, we’re proud to support patients and families through this journey. We’re here to help you understand your options and access care that’s both compassionate and legal right here in Texas.

As BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we’re reminded that mental health care must be inclusive, accessible, and rooted in compassion. Communities of color often face higher barriers to support—and that’s something we’re committed to changing.

In Texas, medical cannabis is becoming an important tool for managing anxiety, PTSD, depression, and trauma, offering relief where traditional systems have fallen short. At Texas Cannabis Clinic, we stand with our BIPOC patients and remain dedicated to creating safe, supportive spaces for healing.

Mental health matters—for everyone. 💚

As Sarcoma Awareness Month comes to a close, we honor the strength of those facing this rare and aggressive form of cancer. 💛

In Texas, medical cannabis is offering new hope to patients navigating the challenges of sarcoma; helping ease pain, nausea, loss of appetite, and the emotional toll of treatment. It’s not just about relief, it’s about quality of life, dignity, and support.

We remain committed to compassionate care and advocating for every Texan fighting this fight.

This study adds to the growing body of evidence supporting the safety of cannabis use, especially among aging patients seeking natural relief.

Science continues to break down stigma, one study at a time.

Headed out of town with your medication? Here’s what you need to know. 🧳🌿
If you’re traveling within Texas, keep a copy of your prescription info with you (it usually comes stapled to the bag). But remember, cannabis-based medicine is still federally illegal, so crossing state lines with it is a no-go.

Stay safe, stay informed, and always travel smart.
