Meet Kendra, one of our amazing ASC Nurses! She works in pre op, post op, monitor, and circulate for cataracts, retina, and plastics. Kendra is also the head of the EMG Recycling committee.
She previously worked at EMG for two and a half years from 2016 to 2018, then worked as an ASC nurse in Lewiston for 5 years and has been back to EMG for two years.
Why she loves EMG: "I love working at EMG because we have such a wonderful team of nurses, techs, and surgeons and I love the variety of surgeries that we do here. It is also great having the office connected and being able to meet all the other employees that work here. It is a great place to work, and I am glad to be back".
Fun Fact: She loves to spend time with her three grandchildren (Everly 7, Ilia 4 and Holland 1 month) and also loves to golf and sew. Thank you for all you do, Kendra!

Swimming while wearing contact lenses can be dangerous due to the risk of eye infections and potential damage to your vision. To protect your eye health, it's best to remove contact lenses before swimming or wear watertight swim goggles if you must keep them in.

Guess who’s back? We’re beyond excited to welcome Dr. Ravi Shah back to the Eyecare Medical Group team!
Dr. Shah brings a ton of expertise in corneal transplantation, refractive surgery including LASIK, and cataract surgery. After some time practicing in Pennsylvania, he’s returning to Maine and EMG, ready to help our patients see clearly and confidently.
A little about Dr. Shah, he earned his MD and completed ophthalmology residency at Rutgers Medical School, followed by a top-notch cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic.
When he’s not transforming vision, you’ll find him reading, traveling, hitting the slopes, or soaking up the Maine outdoors with his family.
Welcome home, Dr. Shah — we’re so glad to have you back! 💙
