Ultrasound Saturday:
5 tips for those interested in NMSKUS

1.) Attend Combined Sections Meeting. CSM is a great opportunity to network and learn about the clinical utility of NMSKUS in clinical practice
2.) Watch the FREE monthly cases presented by the NMSKUS SIG to see clinicians present patient cases and how NMKSUS was used to assist in the clinical examination and management of patients with suspected neuromusculoskeletal conditions
3.) Get involved with the NMSKUS SIG as a student or clinician. We are always looking for more individuals, whether a student or practicing clinician, to get involved and help move the profession forward. If you are a member of the ACEWM, this is FREE!
4.) Find a mentor. This is a great opportunity to learn about and enhance exposure to NMSKUS in clinical practice.
5.) Invest in continuing education courses on NMSKUS. The best way to learn NMSKUS is to learn the basics through continuing education courses that are offered throughout the year.

ULTRASOUND SATURDAY:
The big take away's from Dr. Beshoy Ghaly Webinar August 10th:
1. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) #1 reason for referral to EDX practices
2. Neuroanatomy: Median nerve mechanical compression and or dysfunction leading cause of pathology in patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)
3. Dx MSK Ultrasound can assess and evaluate where NCS and EMG cannot BUT should not be the only tool in Dx
4. Tendonal synovitis is an important checkpoint in Dx evals. Check those Flexor Tendons!
5. Higher Specificity makes Dx US a better choice for RULING IN (SPIN) CTS
