Iowa DOT Bridge Washing Causes Eastbound Detour on Julien Dubuque Bridge

Due to bridge washing being performed by the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), the eastbound lanes of the Julien Dubuque Bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day beginning Tuesday, April 22, through Friday, April 25. The westbound lanes of the bridge will remain open.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured using U.S. Highways 61/151 to the Iowa-Wisconsin Bridge. Once in Wisconsin, traffic will use Wisconsin and Illinois state highways 35 to return to U.S. Highway 20 in East Dubuque.

After all the baby snuggles, I suppose it’s time to get back to a full week of work 😆

Dr. Effertz and his wife welcomed their 2nd baby BOY into the world on Sunday!

Bennett Elliott and mom are both healthy and doing great! We can’t wait for him to meet his big brother.

Office hours have changed for the week. Give the office a call if you need an appointment and the staff will help.

Dr. Effertz had an unexpected appendix surgery this morning. He is home and surgery went well. Unfortunately, the office will be closed the remainder of the week so he can rest up. We appreciate your understanding. He plans on being back Monday the 15th with normal hours!

Sad post alert ‼️ This will be the last week the office will see this bright smile and welcoming face that greeted you for the last 4 years. This one is especially hard for me as she was my first hire and has been there every step of the way. Wisconsin is lucky to have her and we wish her and her husband the best of luck in their newest adventure!
