🪻Just safely and ethically harvested this Spring Queen ✨️ Toying around with a morning time tea formula 🤓
☀️Welcome Spring 🙌
🪻Has everyone noticed how PURPLE all the fields and edges of ditches and yards are?! This beautiful early spring herb is called Henbit and as you can see, it's incredibly abundant and has even been accused of being invasive 🤭.
🪻Henbit is edible for humans and is also a vital early-season source of nectar and pollen for honeybees🐝. As for us we can eat her leaves, stems, and flowers which have a slightly sweet and peppery flavor, similar to celery.
🪻Of course she wouldn't be complete without her beautiful medicinal properties 😊. This lady is anti-rheumatic and anti-inflammatory which makes her an ideal candidate for relieving chronic pain, body aches, and fevers. There have been claims of her ability to boost energy and aid in reducing anxiety 🧘♀️, this may be due to her abundance of vitamins and minerals 🤔.
⚠️ DO NOT FORAGE FROM FIELDS OR THE SIDE OF ROADS. If you are compelled to harvest find a spot in a clean meadow/field and at least 100 ft from any main roadway.
