Job Description/Responsibilities:
•Scanning/uploading pertinent patient information into EMR and servers including patient authorizations and new orders
•Verify insurance coverage and assist the billing coordinator with pre-authorizations
•Answering phone and email inquiries
•Performing clerical work such as filing, copying, and faxing
•Preparing and maintaining patient records and scheduling
•Maintain office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders
•Maintain confidentiality of patient information and business matters
•Perform other duties as assigned by office manager
Preferred Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Preferred 1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
•Excellent organizational and time management skills
•Must be detail oriented with quality and precision focus
•Strong analytical reasoning skills for solving problems efficiently
•Great communication skills.
•Proficient in the use of computers for filing and processing data.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
•Excellent interpersonal skills for developing great relationships with patients, staff, sales representatives, and management.
•Bonafide billing software experience is a plus but not mandatory, we will train as needed.
