Healing Dance is a unique form of aquatic bodywork that blends flowing movement, gentle massage, and deep relaxation in warm water (typically 94–97°F). Part of the broader world of aquatic therapies—like Watsu and WaterDance—Healing Dance has its own distinct rhythm, grace, and therapeutic benefits.
Created by Alexander George, Healing Dance is performed in chest-deep water and uses the water’s natural buoyancy to support the body through:
• Flowing, wave-like and spiral movements
• Gentle stretches and joint mobilization
• Still holds for deep integration and rest
• Underwater dives (optional for the adventurous)
This modality focuses on emotional release, nervous system regulation, joint mobility, and deep body awareness. Sessions are often meditative, nurturing, and powerfully transformative.
What Makes Healing Dance Different?

• Emphasizes creative, spontaneous movement

Becoming a certified Healing Dance practitioner takes years of dedicated training. While there are about 4,900 Watsu practitioners in the U.S., there are only 21 certified Healing Dance practitioners—and just 10 certified in underwater work!
I passed my examination at Harbin Hot Springs and I’m honored to be the newest Healing Dance graduate, now offering sessions right here in Apple Valley. And I’m working toward becoming the 11th certified underwater Healing Dance practitioner in the U.S.

• 60-minute Healing Dance session with underwater for just $60 (normally $80)
• Optional add-on: After receiving your underwater session you can book a 90-minute massage for just $90 (normally $120)
