The holidays may be over, but January invites us to slow down, settle in, and care for ourselves a little more intentionally. The shop feels quieter now, the lights a little softer, and the air filled with cozy, comforting scents meant to carry us through the heart of winter.
This month is all about warmth, rest, and simple rituals — from small-batch candles and soothing aromatherapy blends to thoughtful gifts that make the cold days feel gentler. It’s a time to reset, reflect, and ease into the new year at a slower pace.

For one day only, refill your favorite candle jars for half the regular refill price—a simple, sustainable way to save and reuse what you already love.

$0.43 per ounce (regularly $0.85 per ounce)

📦 How It Works
Bring your empty or partially used candle jars to Maggie’s on January 26 between 10 AM and 6 PM. Choose from in-stock fragrances
We will clean out your container, re-wick it, and refill it with our signature wax
Candles will be ready within 7 days
You’ll be notified when your candle is ready for pickup
📍 Pickup Policy
Candles must be picked up within 14 days of notification
A storage fee will apply to candles not picked up after 14 days
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Do my jars need to be clean or free of old wax?
Nope!
Containers do not need to be free from old wax. We’ll clean them out, re-wick, and refill them for you.
Do my jars have to be from Maggie’s Farm & Aromatics?
Nope! Jars do not have to be from Maggie’s. Any clean, candle-safe jar is welcome.
Is there a size or quantity limit?
No limits!
Any size or shape jar. Bring one or many—it’s totally up to you.
How many fragrance options will there be?
We have over 200 fragrances in stock to choose from.
Please note: Refills are limited to in-stock fragrances only. No special orders during the event.
What kind of wax do you use?
All refills will be poured using:
100% vegan soy wax
Undyed and natural (no added color)
What about wicks?
All refilled candles will use natural cotton braided wicks.
Are wax add-ons available?
To keep things efficient and fair for everyone:
No wax add-ons (such as wax toppers) will be available during Half-Price Refill Day.
Are your fragrances safe?
Yes! All fragrances used are:
Phthalate-free
Paraben-free
Sulfate-free
When will my candle be ready?
Candles will be ready within 7 days of drop-off. You’ll receive a notification when they’re finished.
What happens if I forget to pick mine up?
Candles not picked up within 14 days of notification will incur a storage fee.
🕯️ Winter Wind-Down: Candles & Bath Soaks
January is the perfect time to slow down, get cozy, and do something just for you. We’re hosting a Winter Wind-Down evening at Maggie’s Farm & Aromatics — a relaxed, drop-in event focused on warmth, comfort, and simple self-care.
Stop by anytime during the event to pour your own candle and create a custom bath soak, choosing from mineral salts, essential oils, and botanical additions. We’ll share gentle guidance along the way, but there’s no rush and no pressure — just a calm, candlelit space to unwind.
✨ Drop in anytime during the event window.
✨ Pay in-store the night of the event.
January 15 from 5pm to 7pm.

A Note About Credit Card Purchases
We want to share a small update with you, and more importantly, say thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Beginning January 1, a 3% surcharge will be applied to credit card purchases. This wasn’t an easy decision, and it’s one we’ve thought about carefully. Like many small businesses, we’ve absorbed the rising costs associated with credit card processing for years. Unfortunately, those costs have continued to increase, and we’ve reached a point where we can no longer fully absorb them on our end.
Our hope with this change is to avoid raising prices across the board and to continue offering the quality, small-batch goods you expect from Maggie’s Farm & Aromatics.
There will be NO surcharge on DEBIT CARD and CASH purchases.
As always, we are deeply grateful for your support of our small business. Every visit, every purchase, and every kind word truly makes a difference and helps us continue doing what we love — creating thoughtful, handcrafted products right here in our community.

❄️ January Candle of the Month: Winter Splendor ❄️
January calls for comfort, warmth, and a little bit of slowing down — and Winter Splendor is our Candle of the Month for just that reason.
This cozy winter blend opens with a hint of bright citrus, then settles into comforting notes of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg, grounded by a soft, musky base of amber and vanilla. It’s festive enough to feel special, but gentle enough to enjoy all winter long.
✨ January only:
Our standard candle (normally $22) is $17 all month long as our January Candle of the Month.
Poured in small batches here in the shop, Winter Splendor is available at this special price through January 31 — after that, it returns to its regular price.
Treat yourself before this seasonal scent disappears! As always, hand poured from small batches using 100% Midwest soy wax. Dye free, paraben free, and phthalate free with a cotton braided zinc and lead free wick — giving you a clean, long lasting burn of approximately 100 hours.
What’s New at Maggie’s This January
The new year always brings a little spark of fresh energy, and January at Maggie’s Farm & Aromatics is no exception. We’re welcoming in a thoughtful mix of new products designed to support everyday care, cozy winter moments, and more sustainable living.
This month, you’ll start to see bubble bath, simmer pots and scent blends, and a concentrated mop and floor cleaner joining our shelves — along with an expanded selection of all-natural cleaning products for the home. We’re also excited to bring in new jewelry as well as a growing collection of sustainable essentials, a larger collection of wax warmers, and more options in dish cloths and scrub brushes.
As always, everything we carry is chosen with intention — made to be useful, gentle, and a little bit beautiful. We can’t wait for you to see what’s new and to help you find pieces that fit into your daily routines in simple, meaningful ways.
