“The Sunshine Gang.”

Yesterday, our residents and staff were delighted to experience a heartwarming Christmas musical performance by The Sunshine Gang. It was truly inspiring to witness a group of seniors generously dedicating their time and effort, transporting their instruments and equipment, to bring joy to their fellow seniors entirely free of charge! We were deeply grateful and humbled by their selfless act, a powerful reminder that kindness and compassion continue to thrive in our often challenging world. 🎄🧑‍🎄 ❤️

“BON APPETIT!!” 😋

Today, our Resident Council hosted its very first fund raising event!.. Our beloved resident Ms. Filomena Tucker prepared her renowned Indian Coconut Rice, which was served alongside fried and roasted chicken, potato salad, an assortment of chips and snacks, and soft drinks… Our resident council president…(Mr. Wayne Givens)… collected the funds, while his darling wife… (Ms. Betty Givens)… ensured that everyone adhered to the payment policy! 😂… Thanks to the efforts of the staff, the Resident Council raised a whopping $510.00! 😮… (an impressive feat for a first time fundraiser! 💯)…

Pass the Mic!! 🎤

Today, we proved that enthusiasm for Karaoke far outweighs actual singing talent! 😂… Our residents, staff, and volunteers rocked the mic…(or at least tried 😆)… during a fun filled Karaoke session! 🎶

The Halloween costume contest was a showcase of creativity! Dorothy, from the Land of Oz, twirled past a 70s retro girl , Minnie Mouse sashayed by on her high heels, and the Energizer Bunny bounced around like it was powered by laughter. A rainbow unicorn commanded the stage, while some visiting aliens from a galaxy far, far away brought their own brand of weird and wonderful. The resident judges were completely won over by the diversity and originality of the costumes. In the end, it was a tie between Dorothy and that fabulous 70s girl - what a showdown!

Ms. Theresa “Tee-Time” Terry …(our Activities Directors mother)… gave an electrifying performance, turning our sleepy morning into a full blown party!! 💃🏽 🕺🏻

A culinary journey through the south, Ms. Kimberly Simmons’s fried chicken and potato salad offered a taste of home & heartfelt nostalgia!.. Sharing a glimpse into her family’s heritage, Kim revealed the personal significance these dishes held for her… Our residents were reminded of cherished family traditions, and her cooking left every plate “clean as a whistle!!” 😋
