Celery and your PH levels

More reasons to drink your celery juice are because it is a alkaline forming food, neutralizing stomach acids, lowering your inflammation, creating a soothing effect in your stomach, and even helping with heartburn.

The first step towards great health begins with helping the body become more alkaline. One way to achieve this is to add more alkaline foods to your diet.
So we are all on the same page, let’s review some basics about pH, acidity, and alkalinity. Acidity is measured on pH scale, which can range from zero to 14. If the pH is lower than 7, it is acidic and if it is higher than 7, it is alkaline. A pH of seven is neutral.

Because many enzymes and chemical reactions in the body work best at a particular pH, a small change in the pH can have a profound effect on body function. The pH level at which your body works best is around 7.4.

Western diets typically leave our bodies very acidic because they are overloaded in poor fats, over consumption of protein, not enough fiber, and too much sugar. When the body becomes too acidic, it leads to inflammation and an increased risk for other diseases and disorders. Whereas an alkalizing diet helps to balance your pH level, ultimately reducing acidity.

When you have a more alkaline environment your body is able to function at optimal levels. For instance, alkalinity can aid in the reduction of inflammation, including the brain, gut, skin, and muscles,
Celery juices PH is 5.7 to 6.0, and helps shift your PH to re balance your system.

Like all veggies, celery is high in antioxidants and active plant compounds. These help flush free radicals out of your body, which prevents oxidative stress and damage to your cells.

How to avoid the post-Thanksgiving feast nap😀

1. Eat small healthy meals during Thanksgiving Day, so you don’t over indulge at dinner.
2. Don’t eat with your eyes!
Put small portions on your plate.
3. Drink a before dinner elixir of.. 8 oz of water with apple cider vinegar, fresh squeezed lemon juice, some sprinkles of cinnamon to improve digestion, decrease bloating, balance blood sugar, and provide enzymes and hydrochloric acid for better nutrient absorption.
4. Minimize drinking liquids during the meal, so your digestive juices are not diluted.
5. Stop eating when your full.
6. If possible take a short walk after dinner to help with digestion.
7. Remember the power of gratitude helps the body to rest and digest, decreasing stress, sending positive emotions to help your gut thrive and promotes a cascade of feel good chemicals in the body!

Let me introduce the Neti Pot

It may look like a small teapot, but it’s actually an incredibly effective tool to naturally flush out your nasal cavity. A neti pot is considered a personal hygiene product. It clears your sinuses from mucus and other debri that can cause discomfort and congestion.
It’s also known for relieving cold symptoms, getting rid of allergy symptoms, clearing sinus infections, and it can even reduce snoring in some people.
Here’s an easy Neti pot solution :

Ingredients:

4 parts fine sea salt (should be the consistency of table salt)
1 part baking soda
5 drops essential oil of your choice (I used rosemary, which is anti-fungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory)
This is a mixture you can store in your refrigerator for up to 3 months.

When you are ready to use,
add ½ teaspoon of the infused salt mixture to your neti pot and then cover with 1 cup of room temperature, distilled water. Lean over your sink and pour half the mixture through one nostril then stop, switch sides, and pour the other half through your other nostril. Clean your neti pot in warm, soapy water and make sure to sterilize between uses.

The neti pot is most successful as a preventative for allergies and infections, but also can be used in an acute flare-up.

When we eat these fermented foods, those helpful bacteria then begin living in our gut where they help maintain a healthy immune system . Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that live in our digestive tract and help digest food, synthesize vitamins and support our immune systems. Piriformis syndrome is usually due to compression or contraction of the piriformis muscle on certain areas of the sciatic nerve; the most common risk factors are trauma from sports, also can be made worse by prolonged sitting, prolonged standing, squatting, and climbing stairs. Pain in the buttock or hip area is the most common symptom. Pain may radiate from the buttock area down into the lower leg along the path of the sciatic nerve. 2-3 cups apple cider vinegar with the “mother”
2 Jalapeños
