Healing our emotional wounds is within our power 💪✨️

As humans, we all have been subject to traumatic experiences that bring pain into our lives in cycles. We feel these "wound cycles" as we continue to navigate life beyond the traumatic events. We might ask ourselves, "will I ever be free of this hurt?" We might even blame ourselves for feeling broken.

Above is a conversation I've had with many clients over the years, and with myself, about how healing from emotional wounds happens. No one can bring us true healing but ourselves, as no one understands our pain or our needs better. We have this responsibility to ourselves as adults to heal our own wounds if we want freedom from them, no matter who or what inflicted them on us.

Healing does require change. Change is not ever an easy thing to step into, and that is a completely natural feeling to have about it. However, if you want to see how you can remove yourself from the "wound cycle" and become the master of your own peace, consider these words as I have offered them to many others before.

SWIPE to find out if you are experiencing wintering and to check out some tips for how to feel better in the colder months!

We are all constantly processing so much life change that seasonal patterns like wintering slip through the cracks of our awareness. In the colder months we may feel not as much like ourselves, and we blame it on holiday stress, overeating, and countless other reasons that may be contributing- but wintering threads all of these reasons together to include the holistic experience of what it is to live through winter.

Who we spend time with greatly influences how we live our lives. Consider these elements of positive, supportive friendships and relationships when deciding who you spend time with in the new year. Always remember that you have the choice of what to do with your most precious resource - your time!

You are Worthwhile.

Hello! Thank you for visiting my page. I hope this little passage will allow us to connect on a deeper level, and help you understand why I chose the life mission of helping You.

I began my career as a musician. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies in music, I became increasingly aware of the mental health of the performers I looked up to. It always was particularly hard for me to watch my favorite artists- my heroes- succumb to mental illness, addiction, overdoses, and su***de. I saw the beginnings of hardship in the industry first hand as a performer, and by witnessing my colleagues and fellow artists walk their own journeys. I felt inspired to help the population that had helped me throughout my whole life. Music was always there when I needed it, building a soundtrack to every memory and season of my life; the good, the bad, and the ugly. I want to return the favor of support to my heroes, and to the heroes of tomorrow.

As a matter of principle, I believe that counseling and other therapeutic mental health services are crucial resources in facilitating personal discovery, healing, and growth. It is my role as a counselor to foster a foundation of fulfilling, healthful autonomy in each client that transcends into all aspects of that individual’s life. I strive to do this by providing clients with a safe and therapeutic human relationship, facilitating individualized counseling based on therapeutic techniques that have been proven effective by scientific research, and aiding clients in their connection to resources that can improve their overall quality of life. It is my personal philosophy that humanity and conscious life are sacred and beautiful, and I have willingly committed my life to serving the needs of others. I find this purpose to be greatly fulfilling, and my interactions with other individuals, communities, and society everyday continues to inspire me and fuel my passion to be a helper to humanity. I believe that counseling is one of the most sincere ways one human can help another, and in doing so, we reveal the most magnificent aspects of human nature; empathy, diversity, and love.
