As the first quarter of 2026 is rolling away, we are packing up & heading out for a little R&R.
2026 so far has been full of change, growth & blessings.
Change as WWM has returned to a one midwife practice. Change that I didn’t see coming, but leaned it to as required. Refiguring our structure. Revamping our availability schedule to allow myself to have more off call time over longer stretches. Looking ahead at how to become a more sustainable practice with longevity. The goal isn’t burnout, but how to thrive and serve families long term. God has really challenged my views on this, but I’m grateful for His wisdom & guidance.
Growth that’s shown numerically-but more importantly, growth that I’ve seen internally. Growth in my faith. Growth in knowing that God knows best in each and every scenario. Growth in learning that we can only be comfortable for so long before God calls us to more.
Also, growth I’ve seen in my team. Oh how I’m so incredibly thankful for my team. The most amazing people who’ve stepped up in big ways to help support our WWM families with such open and humble hearts. Servant hearts so full of love & kindness. I couldn’t do what I do without you guys.
And blessings. My goodness at the blessings we’ve witnessed so far in 2026. Blessings that I know I’m only a small part of. There to witness, as only His hands. Not as a dictator or overseer. But side by side with families as they welcome their sweet babies earth side. The sacred moments I’ve been a part of over the last few months have been some of my most favorite. A gentle reminder that God has planted me right where I am called to be. Where I am called to serve. And where I pray he will allow me to stay for many many years to come.
Today I am so grateful for rest
& thankful for this boat that is going to cruise us around the Caribbean for the next 7 days🫶🏻
