We’ve got some great special events coming up along with our weekly offerings.

Monday:

Friends & Families- join us for a night of peace ☮️ and peas 🫛, community support and connection. This Friday August 1st at Burns Park Farmers Market, we’re hosting a 🧷 DIAPER DRIVE 🧷 for The Parenting Place- in addition to a farmers market first: FAMILY YOGA! The Motherhood Collective is bringing the zen, all you need to do is show up by 4:45 for a free family friendly session of outdoor yoga 🧘🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️ Bring your mat if you have one✨ get your groceries while you’re there to give your family the most nutritious, freshly picked, homemade goodness that the Driftless offers. What a treat!

We are honored to provide training & education for these amazing community health workers this week & last week!🤩

This awesome group spent four hours in training with Emily Sustar last Thursday, learning more about mindfulness practices, nervous system regulation, & movement in the perinatal period~ pregnancy, labor, birth & postpartum. This Thursday they will spend four more hours with Erin, , learning more about lactation & infant feeding.

All mothers are working mothers.

At The Motherhood Collective we support all mothers whether you choose to work outside the home, in the home, or a mix of both, no matter your choices, you deserve to feel supported.

Transitioning back to work after having a baby can be a challenging transition no matter when it happens. While we know it won’t be easy, there are some strategies you can put into place to help it go a little smoother.

Join career coach and gender studies expert, Dr. Jodi Vandenberg-Daves for a power hour of strategies to help smooth the transition back to work after your baby comes. We’ll put any anxiety you may have into perspective. Hint: our society could do a lot more to support new mothers and babies in all their transitions, especially this one! But we’ll also get your toolkit ready.

-Advocate & Communicate at Work & at Home
-Level up your Mindset
-Set up Your Support Systems

Jodi Vandenberg-Daves is a coach, consultant, writer, and former professor and department chair at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, in the Dept. of Race, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Jodi brings research-based and real-world applicable strategies to women of diverse backgrounds who want to take ownership of their career journeys. Jodi is the author of Modern Motherhood: An American History (Rutgers University Press, 2014) and a book of poems: Poems in the Mother Tongue.

Summer Support Group Sessions are here!🥳

Join us Fridays at 10am for Baby + Me Yoga every other week in the summer, & then stay for our FREE summer support group series outdoors at noon 1x/ month!
All are welcome.

Here’s the summer support group schedule:

June 20th: Bluffview Park
(2800 Jackson St, La Crosse)

July 11th: Chad Erickson Park
(3601 Park Ln Dr, La Crosse)

August 8th: Weigent Park
(314 15th St S)

Our support group is always free, but please register so that we can communicate any last minute changes with you. The support group will meet at studio (1221 Caledonia St, La Crosse) in the event of inclement weather.

It’s ok if your baby cries, it’s ok if you need to breastfeed, bottle feed or pump. It’s ok if you need to change a diaper or take a deep breath. Show up as you are.

Our mission at The Motherhood Collective is to support, uplift, and empower women, mothers, & those that identify as such, as they enter into parenthood and the years that follow. 

We acknowledge that families can be built in so many different ways.  At The Motherhood Collective we strive to be inclusive allies.  We believe that all families and birthing people deserve support.

Next Wednesday, June 18th!
6-7pm

Join Rachel Persson at the Motherhood Collective for a workshop focused on postpartum fertility! In this one hour workshop you will learn about the hormonal changes associated with postpartum, how breastfeeding, pumping or bottle feeding affect your fertility, and finally a review of your postpartum options for birth control. The program ends with time for questions from our instructor, Rachel Persson, a certified FEMM and teenFEMM educator. Partners and babies are welcome to attend with you. You are also welcome to take this class prenatally! Register today to save your spot.🤍

Here’s more about Rachel:
Rachel Person is a Certified (FEMM) and TeenFEMM Fertility Educator. She is a wife, a mother, an endometriosis patient, a baker, a knitter, a runner, and a yoga student. She is passionate about educating women about their bodies and hormonal functions.
