Gwen's Therapeutic Massage R.E.S.T Wellness I became familiar with the healing properties of human touch while seeking treatment for tendonitis and a spinal injury.

My goal is to serve and support clients on their healing journey, whether it be physically, mentally, or emotionally, to assist them in living their lives to the fullest. I received alternative treatments such as acupuncture, massage therapy as well as chiropractic and physical therapy. I began my journey helping others by attending Poway Academy’s Holistic Health Practitioner Program in 2005, studying various modalities including Reflexology, Pathology, as well as Deep Tissue, Sports, and Swedish Massage techniques. After completing this program, I continued developing these techniques while working in a Chiropractic office, learning additional techniques such as active release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, as well as neuromuscular re-education. I opened Gwen’s Therapeutic Massage in 2010, providing massage therapy services at Giovanni’s Salon in El Cajon, and later at Visible Difference Day Spa in Fletcher Hills. In 2014 I opened a private practice facility in Fletcher Hills and have since been serving clients as a sole practitioner. I am currently attending The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) completing a comprehensive Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner Program (IHAP). I intend to specialize in Advanced Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching and am extremely excited to offer these services to my wellness center. In the future I also hope to integrate various forms of acupressure and tapping techniques. Education and Certification/Licenses:
-Certified Hypnotherapy Program consisting of 100 hours of academics, theory and practice - Southwest Institute of Healing Arts
-AA, Kinesiology - Cuyamaca College
-1,000 Holistic Health Practitioner program consisting of Reflexology, Pathology, Deep Tissue, Sports, and Swedish Massage Techniques - Poway Academy
-CAMTC Licensed and Certified Massage Therapist
-Member, Associated Bodywork of Massage Professionals (ABMP).
