After Rachel injured her ankle and could only comfortably wear Crocs to work this week, Johanna and I slipped ours on too—because no one rolls solo at NH Smile Co. That’s just how we do it. Teamwork, comfort, and a whole lot of support (ankle and otherwise). 🐊✨

Infant lip and tongue tie releases are QUICK, PAINLESS and ANESTHESIA FREE with the help of a DENTAL LASER!

So happy my baby whisperer of an assistant, Johanna and I got to help this sweet baby 😍 and his mama today ❤️

Mom is a patient and was in for an appointment and shared some nursing woes. The pediatrician had recognized a pretty significant lip tie, but didn’t recommend doing anything because it would require general anesthesia. This information is DEAD WRONG! With the help of our dental laser, we were able to release this sweet boy’s category 4 lip tie, that not only was negatively affecting his nursing, but could eventually lead to a restricted maxilla causing airway issues and facial growth alterations.

Lip and tongue ties are NOT OKAY. Even if a baby eventually overcomes and compensates for these in their feeding, facial growth and development and the upper airway development are hindered — allowed to keep going, this is what leads to sleep apnea! Sleep apnea and airway resistance in children are the foundational causes for ADHD, Night Terrors, prolonged bed wetting, diagnosed allergies, diagnosed asthma, just to name a few……More to come on that, but in the meantime let’s get those babies released!
