January
The warmest and driest January on record out here in CO (some other western states too).
Colorado is the only state where water doesn’t flow in, only out. It is the water source for many other states and we rely on the snow and cold to preserve and distribute the water for many major metropolitan areas; Las Vegas and Phoenix to name a couple.
It’s honestly very hard to not get incredibly upset by this drought, especially given the collective state of humanity right now.
A lot of enormous hurt in our country and the world.
I had to take a step back and toss away stuff I don’t need in the end.
I stayed close on the pulse to what the monks are doing in their .usa … this has been saving my hope for humanity!
I have spent many mornings writing out a list of gratitude which made me realize perspective. Now I can show up for others.
I have been taking solace in connecting with the rhythms of the planet and reminding myself that in this moment, I am supported and everything is okay.
I put my energy into studying the plants in place of mindless doom scrolling (which was crushing my soul).
And when it snowed (3 days) I made sure to make the most of it!
I’m feeling all the things, but feel ready to begin to take steps forward to share the beauty I can capture in this miracle of an existence ✨
Who else is ready to vibe high again?
