Did he trust us? Or did he think, 'Hell, what have I got to lose'?  

The end result lends reassurance that we manage the complexities and serious considerations needed to restore a skeletal jaw mismatch that had led to worn and damaged teeth and a speech lisp.

The responsibility of the restorative dentist is to perform careful diagnostic analysis and planning before ever starting a case. We began with digital scans, radiographic imaging and diagnostic photos followed by an airway and joint analysis with Orthodontist Dr. Grace Simco to determine by how much we can increase the vertical dimension of his teeth in order to correct tooth position and speech.  

Our master ceramist then created a projected design which we copied onto the client's teeth so that we could evaluate the shape and speech correction.  We completed the case with the clean bright porcelain restorations.

One of our most common and most rewarding services: Rejuvenation of the maturing smile.

Time shows on our teeth in different ways: darkening, cracking, wearing, crowding, assymetry, gum recession, etc.

Careful planning and just a couple months later, the dentition can be tastefully restored with strong easily cleansable porcelain restorations.

There is no judgment when you come to us to have botched work replaced. There is, however, judgement if you bring in a photo of Teresa Giudice and ask me to make you look like her. Instead, let's agree to give you two natural front porcelain restorations that flow with the rest of your natural healthy teeth and be done with it for now.

In this case crown lengthening (to reshape the supporting bone around the two front teeth) was required as the recent original two crowns were set too low below gum tissue leading to chronic painful red raw bleeding periodontal inflammation. This additional step, remodeling time, and cost not required if we had performed her treatment from the start BUT we understand how folks can get in these situations. We can get you to a healthy endpoint anyway. Again, no judgment here!

If she wants bright white veneers later once teeth appear aging, then ok. We do perform those treatment too. But it's important we talk you off the ledge when appropriate. Each case's considerations are different.

We enjoyed creating a refreshed, youthful, feminine smile for this beautiful woman, inside and out. We restored her facial structure back to a healthy and youthful position by increasing the height of her worn teeth. This increase in "Vertical Dimension" increases the distance from the nose to chin which imparts a more harmonious facial proportion, among other benefits in the right cases. Cases like this are complex and carefully planned with the patient and our master ceramist to ensure the best result.

Yes, we will make your dental experience light and fun. We may even laugh to tears with you but don't be mistaken: we take our responsibility very seriously.

Dr. Armour applies her training from Harvard residency at Boston's Dana Farber Cancer Institute to check all patients at regular recalls (or anytime requested in between) for Oral Cancer. This screening includes the neck area where she has incidentally found cancerous lesions on multiple patients over the years (about one every 1-2 years). When found early, the course of treatment has been less severe than it otherwise would have been if later found once symptomatic.

Does your dentist check your neck, jaw, and mouth for cancer?
