nde and this goal came in part from Richard Louv. In his book, "Last Child in the Woods" he states "the child in nature is an endangered species and the health of children and the health of the Earth are inseparable." Judi Terrill, Founder and Executive Director of Jade Woman de LaLonde, Inc, is the mastermind behind the entire organization. She has eighteen years of experience as a Chinese Medicine Professional. With nature as her basis and guide, Ms. Terrill developed a unique Five Element model to diagnose and treat children, parents, families and other adults. This nature based art form of the medicine uses elements in nature, specifically, water, wood, fire, earth and metal to identify the individual characteristics, needs and best environment for healthy development and wellbeing. Treatment focuses on the entire being, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. She has often helped both children and adults that Western Medicine has been unsuccessful diagnosing and treating. In addition to her experience and expertise in Chinese Medicine practice, teaching and program development, Ms. Terrill had an extensive career in Corporate America as a Corporate Executive and Officer in Finance, Management and Administration.

Summer break isn’t over yet! It’s not too late to have some fun in the sun!
Consider these options:
• A natural park rather than a theme park🌲
• Boating rather than taking a cruise ⛵️
• A lake or river rather than a swimming pool 🚣
• Watching real stars rather than movie stars ✨.. most importantly, consider unplugging devices

Hello July!

Whether you're staying close to home this summer or heading out for an adventure, outdoor activities help kids make the most of every sunny day — and a few rainy ones, too!

• Combat the summer heat with water — hoses, sq**rt guns, water balloons.
• Warm weather gives kids more freedom to run, explore, and discover without rushing indoors.
• Outdoor play reduces screen dependence and encourages healthy movement and rest cycles.
• Bird watching, following bugs, and chasing butterflies! Activities in nature support emotional regulation, curiosity, and independent thinking.

Summer is here and the heat is on! While we encourage children to play outdoors, we must also encourage them to drink water. Next time you’re at a store, allow your child to pick out their own reusable water bottle. They’re more likely to use it if they know it’s theirs alone. Remember to use it only for water, not juices or sports drinks, and wash it daily. Stay hydrated! 💦

Contact with nature – being in green, open space, near rivers or lakes, exploring nature’s colors, sounds, tones, and textures — is linked to better health, less stress, better mood, and reduced obesity. That’s an amazing list of benefits no manmade product can match.

Tomorrow is Father's Day — plan an outing with your children. Experiencing the elements will bring you closer to the earth, each other, and yourself.
