"United for Recovery"

"United for Recovery" A Non-Profit Organization dedicated to fostering recovery from addictions. Each year, the numbers continue to grow.

United For Recovery is group of people and organizations who have banded together to turn tragedy into triumph. Five years ago, on Mother’s Day 2006, Misty Smith-Luebbert, was killed in a tragic car accident by a 20 year old drunk driver. The community of United for Recovery started a fundraiser in her name, The Annual Misty Smith-Luebbert Memorial Benefit. Donations are used by the Board of Directors of First Step Wellness Services, Inc to help educate the community about the effect of addiction. Misty was very passionate helping people recover from their addictions, particularly for adolescents. The people supporting and donating to the benefit include many business owners and individuals that are committed to keep her passion alive. Contributions can help save a life, relationship, a family. Education about addiction makes a community a safer and healthier place.
