Today we were proud to successfully support another Julia Ride organized by the Expendables MC. This year’s ride continued in the tradition of remembering Piscataway Township Police Department officer Julia Caseres who succumbed to cancer while also honoring the life of Spotswood Fire Lt. Robert Oross who passed in a motorcycle accident this past year.

We are thankful to be able to continue the tradition of supporting both this group and this ride year after year as they bring responders and civilians together to assist our brothers and sister’s in their time of need.

During this event, our duty crew responded to a patient in respiratory distress and other members participated in a CEVO (driving) class as they begin their journey learning how to operate an emergency vehicle.

We are proud to be able to continue to serve those in need in so many very different ways and continue to thank all who lend your support to our mission day in and day out.

Last night we joined the Arbor Hose Company #1, Inc. - The Pride of the North Side as they engaged in training for their newest members practicing basic fire ground skills at the Piscataway Fire School. Due to high heat, we were asked to standby should any medical issues arise. Upon clearing another call in Piscataway Township, our duty crew joined the standby.
