Due to the anticipated inclement weather from Hurricane Ian, Crevar Chiropractic will be closed on Friday, September 30th for the safety of our patients and staff.

We will be open today (Thursday 9/29) for normal business hours. Normal business hours will resume Monday, October 3rd at 7:30 am.

We apologize for any inconvenience the closing may cause, but our main focus is on everyone’s safety.

What’s your favorite citrus fruit? We LOVE satsuma oranges, and they’re now showing up at farmer’s markets and in local grocery stores. ‘Tis the season! 🍊

Not only are they such a great source of vitamin C, but they’re downright delicious.

Part of the mandarin family, satsumas are known for being extra juicy and super easy to peel (a perfect kid-friendly snack). They grow in the Southeastern US and in parts of Cali too.

If you happen to see some, grab them while you can! They’ll be out of season at the end of December.

Just a reminder: we are open and treating patients during our regular office hours.

Chiropractors have been officially deemed as essential workers and allowed to treat our patients. We are following CDC and Government guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable environment including:

1. Everyone is expected to wash their hands as soon as they enter and leave the office for at least 20 seconds.

2. Employees are washing their hands for at least 20 seconds after and before treating all patients.

3. Treatment tables are being sanitized immediately after each patient.

4. Commonly touched surfaces are being sanitized on a regular basis.

5. The frequency of our deep cleanings by our janitorial service has quadrupled.

6. We pre-screen all new patients over the phone to ensure they are not sick or have been in close proximity to anybody that has been. Temperatures are taken when these new patients arrive to rule out fever.

7. All existing patients are made aware that if they show any signs of sickness, they should stay home until they feel better.

8. Our Uber driver who assists patients with no transportation is still up and running, as drivers are essential also. He is taking all necessary precautions with sanitizing his vehicle after every passenger, and keeping the vehicle well ventilated.

9. We have installed a state of the art air purification system, Air Scrubber by Aerus to our central HVAC system. It reduces airborne contaminants by 90% within 20 minutes, and is running 24 hours a day. It reduces 99% of all surface contaminants within 24 hours including, but not limited to: Staph, E. Coli, MRSA, Strep, Listeria, Bird Flu, Hepatitis A, H1N1 (Swine Flu), and Norovirus. Official research has not been conducted on the COVID-19 virus, but I believe there is a strong chance that it eliminates it as it does other flu and virus strains. (See charts below)

We are resuming regular business hours this week in light of the COVID-19 news.

We are increasing our cleaning efforts, promoting regular handwashing by all and asking patients to reschedule their appointments if they have a fever, cold or flu symptoms.

We are also asking patients to do their best to attend their appointments individually. Unless families or friends are also getting adjusted, we ask that they wait in their cars or outside.

Your health and wellness remains our top priority. Thank you!

In light of the mandatory evacuation for Hurricane Dorian, our office will remain closed until further notice.

Stay safe, everyone! And know your evacuation route should you choose to leave.

Knowing when to leave and where to go is vital if a hurricane approaches. Be sure to know your zone and plan out a route to safety.
