IMPORTANT REMINDER: Never leave kids in a parked car alone!

Even when it feels cool outside, cars can heat up to dangerous temperatures very quickly.

Leaving a window open is not enough- temperatures inside the car can rise almost 20 degrees Fahrenheit within the first 10 minutes, even with a window cracked open.

Children who are left unattended in parked cars are at greatest risk for heat stroke, and possibly death.

While World AIDS Day raises vital awareness about HIV, Zero HIV Stigma Day is the first global observance solely focused on ending the harmful narratives and biases that persist even in the face of scientific progress in prevention and care.

Let’s move beyond labels and amplify voices that redefine what it means to live free from shame, fear or silence.

There are no scientifically proven health benefits of drinking raw milk, but there are many well documented risks. Choosing pasteurized milk and dairy is the best way to safely enjoy the nutritional benefits of milk.

Have you heard of walking pneumonia? 🫁 🦠

Walking , otherwise known as mycoplasma pneumoniae, is a bacterium currently causing an increase in infections in children. It typically causes mild respiratory symptoms, such as bronchitis and sore throat, however it can lead to severe pneumonia.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has received reports of increasing numbers of children and adolescents hospitalized with Mycoplasma pneumoniae (M. pneumoniae) infections from March through June 2025 at hospitals in California.

📈National trends of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infections do not currently mirror the increase in cases reported in California counties.

Talk to your child's healthcare provider about symptoms, testing and treatment.
