Common Habits That make fat loss feel impossible & are slowing your metabolism:

• Chronic Under-eating
-This is seen more so in women than men, we think if we actually EAT, we’re going to gain weight. What are you actually eating, though?! If you’re eating the right foods (not all processed and filled with sugar), you will lose weight. Be aware of WHAT you’re eating.

• Pushing Through Exhaustion
- When we just keep going and aren’t taking time to rest and sleep, our metabolism will burn out. Literally. Make sure you’re getting good sleep, that is the rest, digest, and repair time for our bodies. (All the different systems within us)

• Obsessing Over “Steps”
- Yes, steps are important, but to pre calories and really fire up your metabolism, start strength training! Muscle burns fat….. find a good program/coach and it won’t take long before you start seeing your body lose fat, and your muscles will start popping through!

• Skipping Meals To “Save” Calories
- This will slow down your metabolism on its own. Your body NEEDS fuel.

Minerals & Electrolytes What is the Difference?

Minerals are actively involved in almost every single process in the human body. They are the most important nutrient that we take in on a daily basis, because vitamins, proteins, enzymes and all other nutrients that we ingest will not function properly in our bodies without an adequate supply and proper balance of minerals in our system.

Today, due to modern farming practices, our soil that was once rich and fertile with all the minerals and trace elements of the earth, is depleted of many of these minerals and are now unavailable to the plants that grow in our soils. That leaves mineral depleted and substandard food sources being fed to the animals and humans.

This creates mineral deficiencies in our body. Electrolytes are minerals that have an electric charge, either positive or negative, which create a reaction or response within the cells and the blood stream. Electrolytes are essential for various functions in the body. There is a normal loss of electrolytes, and they have to be replaced by eating and drinking. Examples: Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium (positively charged), and Bicarbonate, Chloride, and Phosphorus (negatively charged).
