To all the LMTs who came out to the Final LMT Social!
I started the LMT Social in 2023 as a networking opportunity for massage therapists to get together and share opportunities, information, and resources with one another.
Little did I know I would be herding cats! 🐈 🐈⬛️ 🐱
Or trying to find bones in jellyfish. 😅
I have hosted 5 events so far and spent my own personal time, resources and money into this project.
My goal was to build a community of therapists who could call upon one another for advice, referral work, to trade, or just get a cup of coffee.
It's not what you know, it's who you know, and the best opportunities are not posted online. They are in the DMs. The best opportunities are sent directly to the ones we know.
I've been called a scammer, a liar, had the President of the FSMTA (who had a wonderful time attending the 1st event btw) and undercover police officers sent after me. 🤦🏾♀️
I had no idea I was putting a target on my back by simply calling upon my fellow licensed professionals and colleagues in the field to gather for something other than CEUs.
Well, yesterday I decided to lay down my torch. There is no point in continuing to host an event that no one ever asked for.
