Holistic Health Consulting, LLC is a holistic health clinic based on the precepts of Tibetan Medical Science, namely the therapeutic tenet that Diet and Lifestyle interventions are crucial in determining an individual’s overall health. We have no machines for testing. The diagnostic methods employed are centuries-old, time tested and scientifically proven traditional skills such as pulse diagnosis

, tongue examination, pressure point determination, et cetera. For therapy, in addition to Diet and Lifestyle modifications, patients are instructed on how to concoct personalized medicines from natural food-based ingredients. Accessory therapies such as massage and heat compression may also be performed, in conjunction with the aforementioned therapies, if necessary. Our services are for any and all diseases, from the common to the extremely complex. All services are tailored to fit the needs of the individual and are by appointment only.

So proud of this guy. Our inspiration and joy. Mom and dad love you madly. I never thought I'd give a s**t about a pre-K graduation, but it's not about the fake diploma or ceremony, it's what it represents. All of the hours spent learning to dress and undress yourself, learning to sit on the potty, operate your devices solo, color in those stupid lines, and all of the frustrations that came along with those struggles. We see you learning more and more everyday, and do it in a state of pure joy despite the challenges.

Vaccination
As many of you may know, I used to make vaccines, specifically the RotaTeq vaccine, which is the leading vaccine against rotavirus. That fortuitous experience lead me into Tibetan Medicine, and although I had issues with what I perceived was an obscure science, it doesn't mean that I believe that all of virology and the study of infectious diseases is worthless.
Far from it. I think there's great benefit to this field of study as it's clearly proved to work in many cases, despite its shortcomings. I would also say that we shouldn't be so shocked at how quickly we were able to develop safe and effective vaccines against COVID-19, rather, we should lament the usually inefficient way in which these things are typically done. More often than not, driven by corporate profit and not sound science, or the Hippocratic oath.

Celery leaves.
Most people buy celery with just the stalks or even discard the leaves.
Celery leaves are actually the most nutrient-rich part of the vegetable, containing the highest levels of Potassium, Calcium, and Vitamin C.
Most have heard of all of the virtues the plant has, and celery juicing is very popular at the moment. However, even better than juicing the leaves is eating them raw in a lightly-dressed or bare solo salad. The reasons for this are many but I won't discuss them here.
The leaves don't keep long, which is why many grocers remove them before selling the stalks. That being said, eat the leaves first, if you can.
Celery leaves are excellent against peptic ulcers, cirrhosis of the liver, pancreatic issues, gall bladder issues, IBD, IBS, acid reflux, and the like.
These would all be considered "hot-natured" disorders in Traditional Tibetan medicine, and the sweet, bitter, and astringent tasting leaves, a perfect remedy.

Reframing the idea of getting sick.
We all get sick from time to time and it's actually a normal and perfectly healthy thing to do!
In Traditional Tibetan Medicine it is said: 'As above, so below,' meaning that our bodily processes reflect the outside environment. It is therefore natural to experience an occasional sickness as a result of a rebalancing. If you're experiencing chronic or regular symptoms of illness, this is of course different.
I recently feel ill with common cold and flu symptoms and thought it'd be helpful to talk about how I treated myself.

Now more than ever, many people can benefit from lung remedies.

Whether you've been affected by COVID-19 or have pre-existing lung issues, this post is for you!

Here's the first:

Full-fat warm milk mixed with a bit of honey or maple syrup:

According to Traditional Tibetan Medicine, one of the many virtues of milk is that it is a tonic for the lungs. Upon drinking this mixture, you should feel immediate relief from an irritated throat, cough, a globus sensation (that feeling that you constantly need to clear your throat), as well as other symptoms. 1 to 2 cups of milk can be taken per dose, mixed with a teaspoon of honey for productive coughs, or a tablespoon of maple syrup for an unproductive cough.
