Medicare Annual Enrollment Period - It’s that time of year again!!
So many of our friends and family have had so many questions over the years. The Medicare System is all very difficult to understand for everyone!! The best advice we can give, is to NOT call a random phone number off the TV, or talk to a telesales agent that calls you. These calls are designed to draw you in, and then bate and switch. Every year, some of our clients end up having their plans changed to plans that do not fit their needs. It is all done in a way that they don’t even realize it’s happened until they either, go to the Dr and that Dr doesn’t accept the new plan, or they get a new ID card in the mail, and they call us and say, I DIDN’T SIGN UP FOR A NEW PLAN, I just called to ask a question.
The Medicare “AEP” Annual Enrollment Period started Sunday, October 15 and runs thru December 7th. This is the time of the year you can change your Medicare Advantage Plans, Change your Prescription Drug Plan "PDP" or drop your Medicare Advantage Plan and go back to Medicare and enroll in a Medicare Supplement and PrescriptionDrug Plan. (Part D)
Medicare requires all Medicare Advantage Plans and Prescription Drug Plans to send out a ANOC “Annual Notice Of Change” letter to let all beneficiaries know what changes are occurring with their plans for 2024. Price increases, formulary changes etc. Please open any letter from your carrier you receive.
Please contact us and let us reprice your PDP, Prescription Drug Plan, to make sure you are getting the best prices for you in 2024. Do not think just because your Drug Plan did well for you this year, that it will be great again next year. There are 27 Drug Plans available to you and all plans run on a one year basis, January 1 thru December 31.
