The road to recovery is not just the discipline of rehabbing our body and the persistence of pushing through obstacles. It also requires us to tap into our personal delights and allow ourselves the freedom to feel good again. This is true healing.
When we take a little time to find our bliss, It eases our suffering. When we give ourselves a moment to experience the state of flow, it takes some of the burden off our struggles. When we allow ourselves a minute to experience joy, it fuels our life.
This dance break was a reminder on the Passionate Health Advocate Show podcast that taking a break from sitting and moving our body helps us prevent restriction, pain and injury.
Today it is also a reminder that we are allowed to take a break from our physical pain. We are allowed to take a break from the hurt we feel in the world.
We may be out of practice but we can find our joy again.
One dance break (or whatever your jam is) at a time.
