Word Play offers speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy to children ages birth to 18 years in their homes, schools, and in our clinic.

Word Play is a family-owned business established in 2004 by sisters, Lisa Baumhofer and Amy Reynolds. Our team consists of masters-level speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists. We provide play-based therapy in children's natural environments for individual, one-hour sessions. Word Play's mission is to improve the lives of our clients and their families through exceptional, unique, and fun therapy.

We love the new from ! She is representing autistic individuals and we love it! Notice her noise cancelling headphones, direction of her eye gaze off center, her fidget spinner, her sensory friendly clothes and shoes, her AAC device 💝 and her elbows and hands meant to articulate easily for stimming. We will be adding one to our materials closet for for sure!

Happy New Year to all! We love a celebration of what has been and what is on the horizon! We are lucky to have jobs where we get to witness accomplishments on a daily basis, and we never tire of celebrating both big and little milestones! has loved being a very small part of the Nutcracker season for the past few years. We have provided the Bingo prizes at their amazing Nutcracker Tea for the past several years. My own daughter has danced there for 8 years now, and we just wrapped a beautiful week filled with all things Nutcracker! Does it ever get better than having a front row seat as your child lives their best life?! It won’t ever get old for this dance mom! Ballet has provided so many memories, this week will forever down as one of the best! We love living in a place like Greenville and we love supporting other local small businesses! And now.. let’s see what this December thing is all about and actually enjoy some holiday fun! 🎄🩰🎄

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Today we are thankful for so many things, many of which we’ve highlighted here in the past few days. Today we are thankful for GREENVILLE! Lisa and I grew up moving all around the country as our dad was in the Air Force. We know a good town when we see one.. and Greenville is just the best! Our business was welcomed over 21 years ago and we continue to enjoy wonderful relationships with schools, businesses, families and professionals who appreciate what we do and the amazing people on our team. That is rare, and it is something we do not take for granted! Community, family, purpose.. just a few things we are thankful for on this beautiful Thanksgiving! ❤️🦃❤️
