Lynn’s path to recovery began through unimaginable heartbreak — the loss of her son. 💔

"There were moments I didn’t think I could survive it," she shares. But in her darkest hours, it was the support of others who had walked a similar road that helped her hold on. Her higher power and the love of her friends carried her when she couldn’t carry herself.

Today, after 32 years in recovery, Lynn finds strength through connection — staying close to her sponsor, attending Zoom meetings, and keeping a strong relationship with her higher power. 🤝

The love and support she received have allowed her to turn her pain into purpose, helping others find hope and healing.

Lynn’s message to anyone still struggling:
👉 “Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s okay to not have all the answers, and it’s okay to lean on others. There’s hope, even on the hardest days.”

Her story is a beautiful reminder that recovery is more than just staying clean — it’s about finding strength in faith, connection, and courage.

There is always hope.

Sandra’s Recovery Story 🌟

Just a few months ago, Sandra was homeless, hopeless, and ready to give up. She had lost everything—including herself. One night, in total desperation, she fell to her knees and surrendered, praying for the strength to stop. That moment changed everything.

Sandra started calling treatment centers and eventually found a spot at Gateway. “That call saved my life,” she says. Since then, she’s been rebuilding her life one day at a time, staying connected to her higher power and her recovery community.

“Surrender wasn’t weakness—it was the beginning of freedom,” Sandra shares. Today, she reminds herself: progress, not perfection.

Her message to others still struggling:
“As long as you’re breathing, it’s never too late to find recovery.”

💙 Let Sandra’s story be your reminder: there is always hope.

🚨 Major Decline in U.S. Fentanyl Deaths at Risk Due to Federal Cuts 🚨

Recent data reveals a significant 33% drop in synthetic opioid fatalities, primarily from fentanyl, totaling 52,400 deaths over a 12-month period ending in October 2024. This progress is largely attributed to investments in public health initiatives and the widespread distribution of naloxone. However, new federal budget cuts under the Trump administration are threatening to reverse these gains. Essential harm-reduction programs and public health infrastructures are facing dismantlement, with significant layoffs and funding losses impacting state programs and nonprofits. Experts warn that these cuts could have "sinister consequences" for overdose prevention efforts.

The U.S. has recorded a historic drop in overdose deaths. The Trump administration’s campaign to slash spending and reduce the federal workforce could reverse this fragile progress, public health experts say

💔 "I was completely broken—spiritually, emotionally, and physically." 💔

At my lowest point, I was homeless, unemployed, in an abusive relationship, and had a probation warrant hanging over me. On October 8, 2003, I walked into Alcoholics Anonymous out of sheer desperation… and it changed everything. 🙏

I showed up with an open heart, an open mind, and a willingness to do whatever it took. That’s when I realized I needed God more than anything. Building a relationship with Him has been the foundation of my recovery ever since. 💫

I truly believe—if I can do it, anyone can. You can’t cure a spiritual sickness with a natural solution. You need God. Surrounding myself with people who wanted the same thing made all the difference. I got a sponsor. I asked for help. And I started showing up for myself and others. 🤝

Today, I’m still doing what worked back then—staying open to change, helping other women find their way, and serving wherever I’m needed. 💪

To anyone still struggling: keep your heart and mind open. There is hope. 🌟 If you’re willing to do the work, your life can change too.
