🏇 The St. Paul Rodeo was an unforgettable experience!

Join Brian Tashima, a neurodivergent author, screenwriter, and musician, for a free online workshop hosted by the Autism Empowerment's Neurodivergent Creators Collective.
🍔🌳 Over the past two weeks we hosted two summer BBQs. First as a team, then with clients, we created space to share food, connect, and spend time together across roles and programs. One gave our hardworking staff a chance to relax and recharge outside of work. The other brought our DSA community together for a casual afternoon with good food, games, and the opportunity to engage with ADL and Employment staff in an interpersonal setting.
At the DSA BBQ, clients brought dishes to share for a community potluck, helping create a shared experience where everyone could contribute. From mini frisbee golf to face-to-face conversations with ADL and Employment staff, the day was full of moments that encouraged confidence, connection, and the chance to open doors - whether that meant exploring job options or building daily living skills.
We’re grateful for everyone who showed up, pitched in, and made space for joy and community. ❤️

At Access Community Care, our DSPs support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) by teaching life skills, promoting independence, and building community connections. No experience needed—just a heart for supporting others, and we’ll provide the training!
💙 What You Might Do as a DSP:
🏡 Teach and guide daily life skills like cooking, cleaning, and using transportation
🙌 Promote independence with personal care and routines
🌟 Encourage inclusion during community activities and outings
💡 Empower personal growth through choice-making and new experiences
📍 Requirements:
🎂 Must be 18+ years old
🚗 Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record
📍 Ability to work in or near the vicinity of the Portland area
