Well Being Retreat Center

Well Being Retreat Center We're a non-profit retreat center on 160 peaceful acres surrounded by river in Northeast TN. We offer hosted retreats and welcome outside retreat leaders.

Mostly organic meals and a quiet space for stillness, presence, and connection with nature. When Well Being Retreat Center was purchased in 2008, there was only an old barn here. Since then, we have constructed four Earth-Sheltered Cabins, the more conventionally built Wood Duck Cabin, the Retreat Center Building, six Cabinettes, six tiny houses, and the Powell River Pavilion. These facilities are

available for wellness workshops, Yoga retreats, mindfulness programs, meditation retreats, personal retreats & sabbaticals, family reunions, civic meetings, church groups, ecological conferences and similar.

Alaya Dickinson & Corrine Champigny will be leading A Sacred Hug: An Invitation to Embody Presence, a silent retreat September 11–14, 2025, at Well Being Retreat Center.

Alaya offers Satsang and Presence Yoga as a sacred unfolding of direct experience and inner stillness. Corrine brings decades of embodied practice through meditation, movement, and her unique expression of Presence Yoga. Together, they create a nourishing container—what Alaya describes as “a sacred melting into the ground bodywork”—inviting a return to our natural presence, alive and free.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore:

- Daily Satsang, Meditation, and Presence Yoga

- Spacious time to rest and connect with the natural beauty of the land

- Sacred silence during meals and personal time

- Nervous system recalibration through organic receptivity

- Evenings at the fire circle by the river

Our Story

Well Being Retreat Center is a non-profit, non-denominational venue located on 158 acres of land in the rolling Cumberland mountains of northeast Tennessee. The scenic Powell River surrounds the land for 2 1/2 miles. We have constructed four Earth-Sheltered Cabins, six Tiny Houses, the Wood Duck Cabin, the Retreat Center Building, six Cabinettes, and the Powell River Pavilion. These facilities are available for wellness workshops, Yoga retreats, mindfulness programs, meditation retreats, personal retreats & sabbaticals, family reunions, church groups, ecological conferences and similar. Nature and silence abound.

“It is a very beautiful, peaceful place indeed. And infused with the kind, loving, humble, big hearts of Don and Patty. I've spoken to a number of people who have done retreats at venues all over the US. Well Being Retreat Center is always the favorite.” - David C.
