Halloween is almost here! 🎃 Parents, swipe through for essential safety tips to keep the night full of fun and free from frights. 👻

👗 Check costumes – Make sure they fit well, don’t block vision, and are marked as flame-resistant on the packaging or tag.

👀 Stay visible – Use reflective tape or glow sticks so drivers can see your kids.

💄 Choose makeup wisely – Test face paint on a small area first to avoid reactions.

🍭 Inspect candy – Hold off on eating until you’ve checked it all. Look for any signs of tampering, like odd colors, strange textures, or wrappers with rips or tears.

👯 Group up – Ensure kids trick-or-treat in groups with adult supervision.

🚸 Cross carefully – Remind them to use crosswalks and be aware of cars.

The School District of Palm Beach County will provide free meals for all children ages 18 and younger at 28 schools tomorrow, Friday, October 11. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided in a convenient grab-and-go style. Meals will be available for pickup in school cafeterias from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be offering three additional flu shot clinics this month—open to existing, pre-scheduled patients!

The flu shot is your best defense against the flu, and we recommend everyone who is able get the flu shot every year. Not only does it protect you, but it also helps reduce the spread of the virus to your loved ones and the community at large.

We also want to address a common misconception: You cannot get the flu from the flu shot! The flu shot contains an inactivated (killed) virus, which means it’s not live and can’t cause the flu. Instead, it preps your immune system, helping your body create antibodies that will respond quickly if you’re exposed to the flu virus.
