Don't just watch Bisan through your phone, get active somehow. Download the 5calls app on your phone, or send emails to your senators and Congress representatives. Email the president and vice president. Put pressure on them every day for an immediate and permanent ceasefire.

My work as a placenta specialist, birthworker, lactation counselor doesn't end there. I am a mother, a friend and a human and if you would want me to fight for your rights (which I have been doing for 12 years) you have to know I won't stay silent during multiple genocides.

This isn't a favorite day or topic of mine, but I have to acknowledge it. I am pretty private and don't share much personal stuff on here. I also don't post current photos of my kids due to them not consenting to it.

8 years ago today, my toddler was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)

*slide 2 was before the cancer as a baby.
*slide 3 is important to everyone to know the signs. Your pediatrician may not even know the signs. It took us 4 months and countless doctors before we could even get labs
*slide 4 is her Beads of Courage. Each bead represents a different part of her 2.5 years of treatment. It measures 12.5 inches long

She had 799 days of treatment
756 chemo meds
84 pokes (port and arm)
40 lv infusions
23 procedures with anesthesia
19 lumbar punctures
7 transfusions
56 clinic visits
1 hair loss
2 bone marrow aspirations
12 overnights in the hospital

*slide 4 is her during treatment at about 3.5 years
She is considered a survivor, and I am grateful every day that I get to see her grow ❤️

This is my most cherished print, the only print. From my own homebirth with my littlest one.

It has been hanging on the wall on canvas since 2016 and hasn't faded. I wish I had one from every that I birthed. It's really such a special keepsake.

I have been encapsulating for new parents since 2012, and the support from medical professionals and hospitals to release placentas has taken a lot of education and advocacy. Bay Area Placenta Services provides placenta encapsulation to new parents in the San Francisco Bay Area. Included in service is Pick up and Drop off, a Cooler Bag (transport kit) and Dosage information for you to heal well and enjoy your baby. We also provide Postpartum, Lactation and Sleep Consultations. Breastfeeding classes that are customized and private are also available by request for a reasonable rate! We are passionate about you getting off to the right start with your new baby and family and want you to feel confident, educated and supported
