Give Kids A Smile Community Leadership Development Institute (GKAS Ambassador program): This program provides select GKAS program coordinators with \ funding to subsidize travel and expenses associated with attending the GKAS Institute, where they gain the knowledge and resources to help them expand, enhance, or begin their GKAS program. Once GKAS program coordinators complete this training, they are eligible to become a GKAS Ambassador. The ADA Foundation provides a minimum of ten travel grants to a select group of applicants to enable them to attend a three-day training session in St. Louis, where Give Kids A Smile began. Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is the recipient of a $15,000 ADA Foundation GKAS Continuity of Care Grant. These grants assist GKAS programs that offer continuity of
dental care to underserved children after their initial GKAS visit. The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic provided dental services to 40 kids during their GKAS Day this year. Great work!

held it's annual Give Kids A Smile Day on February 4, 2019, with 40 children receiving services. Face painting and drawing were available throughout the day as well. Many thanks to the ADA Foundation for all the support they provided to OKCIC's Dental department. Give Kids a Smile, was launched nationally by the American Dental Association's Foundation in 2003 to provide free dental visits for children. Thousands of dentists and volunteers participate in Give Kids A Smile to help provide dental care to underserved children. Today, more than 5.5 million children have been cared for throughout the nation.
