When we push away our emotions, we often think we’re protecting ourselves, but our bodies have a way of revealing what we hide. Symptoms like fatigue, pain, or stress can signal unresolved feelings that need attention. While we may think compartmentalizing is helpful, it has a shelf life. Prolonged containment only creates internalization and that leads to much bigger problems. The body will express what the mind tries to forget which is why behavior speaks louder than words.

It’s crucial to embrace and process our emotions rather than ignore them. Healing starts when we acknowledge what we feel. It may feel hard to do so, but prolonging the inevitable makes it harder. As humans the most in control we can be is when we face the challenges, lean into our feelings, and use them as guides to answer the questions. Create space for your emotions and listen to what your body is trying to tell you.

🌍 On this World Mental Health Day, let’s remember that caring for our mental health is just as important as physical health. It’s easy to neglect it, but doing so can hold us back from living our fullest lives.

As two therapists who believe in the power of movement and lifestyle choices, we encourage you to prioritize your mental well-being. Take time to rest and digest as much as you activate and stimulate. Reflect often quietly, connect with others, nourish your body with real food, get outside, move functionally, find a new joy and try something new, and sleep. These are the basics that make us human. Slow down, be intentional and mindful to take in your life, it goes fast.

Together, let’s cultivate strength and embrace the best versions of ourselves. Your mental health matters—don’t forget to nurture it, it’s likely the missing piece to your program and it’s the one thing that can make you the strongest.💪

It takes a major shift in mindset with intentional reframes to improve your physical and mental wellbeing in order to perform your best.

Shifting from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset opens the door to possibilities and learning. It encourages persistence and problem-solving instead of giving up.

When you reframe your focus on progress rather than perfection you build self-confidence and emphasize the value of continuous growth, rather than harsh self-judgment.

You need self-compassion and constructive reflection to shift the focus from regret to learning, which is more productive and nurturing for personal growth.

Try these reframes and practice creating some of your own. It can help to write ✍️ them out until you get good at crafting them in your mind on the fly.

Take an assessment to create a baseline to start from reviewing:
Nature time
Exercise
Nutrition
Stress management & Mindset
Socialization
Quiet time

How much time do you spend doing these? A small amount of time focusing on each daily can make a significant impact on your overall wellbeing. Prioritizing self-care is a lifestyle not a luxury to periodically indulge in.

Can you believe we’re halfway through the year? 😲 Time flies when you’re focused on growth and self-improvement!

What goals have you set for yourself this year? Whatever it is, now is the perfect time to revisit those goals and ignite your passion.

🧘‍♀️What Do You Need to Let Go Of?
To grow, we must release what no longer serves us. This could be limiting beliefs, toxic relationships, or unproductive habits. Identify what’s holding you back and take steps to let go, making space for new opportunities and positive energy.

💡Tips to Remove Barriers:
-Take time to understand your thoughts and emotions, they are your guide. Journaling can help identify patterns and triggers.
-Replace negative self-talk with constructive affirmations. Remind yourself of your strengths and capabilities.
-Incorporate quiet time through nature, meditation or yoga to stay grounded and present.
-Set realistic goals with manageable steps. Celebrate the small wins.
-Seek support with people who are uplifting and inspire you. Potentially a professional if needed.

When you are constantly having mental battles in your head, quiet time never exists.
This can have huge negative impacts on our self-image, mood, mental capacity, and self-image. Often this leads to hyper-productivity, and fear of being alone with yourself.
We are here to make quiet time less scary. It's important to be able to sit with yourself and your thoughts and process them in healthy ways. Having a trained therapist can help you train your mind to find calm and establish inner peace.
We can work together to process and heal the inner chatter that clouds your mind, and create more productive self-talk. You deserve an inner peace that no one can take away from you 💪

Lifting dead weight off your back.

Facing the fears that hold you captive.

Looking forward. Owning your future.
It all starts with prioritizing your mental health.
It's time to train smarter. It's time to train your mind. This doesn't always mean pushing though pain. First you must meet it. Then acknowledge it. Choose to heal from it. And refuse to let it control your life.
It means recruiting others on your team and not being afraid to ask for help.
Your mental and physical goals are dependent on an efficiently operating mind-body system. Strong mind = strong body. 👊

The most powerful move you can make for your physical goals is to up your mental game.
