It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of one of Senior Access—now Drive a Senior’s—original board members, Jeff Gaddis. Jeff passed away on September 9th.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 16th at 10:00 AM.

Jeff was instrumental in guiding the successful 2011 merger of the Round Rock Caregivers and Pflugerville Caregivers. Retired Director Serita Lacasse shared:
“Jeff was one of the most positive and helpful directors. He always brought a smile and joy to each meeting. I will miss my friend and feel honored to have known him so long.”

Rest in peace, Jeff. Your kindness, vision, and joyful spirit will always remain a blessing and a cherished memory.

💛 RETIRING with a heart full of gratitude. 💛

After 23 beautiful years leading , I’m stepping into retirement. What started as a simple idea became a mission serving 1,200+ seniors a year.

From day one, I’ve been blessed by people who believed in the vision—and by all of YOU: volunteers, staff, donors, clients, board members. You made this happen. 🙌

To my team: your dedication has inspired me beyond words. To our seniors: thank you for letting me be part of your journey. And to my supporters from the very beginning—you were God-sent. ✨

Senior Access is in great hands now with Jill leading the way. I’ll forever carry these memories with me. 💐

With love and gratitude,
Serita Lacasse

✨ Today, I retire with a heart full of gratitude. ✨

After 23 incredible years with Senior Access, my journey comes to a close. What started as a small idea to help seniors in Pflugerville has grown into a mission serving 1,200+ seniors every year—thanks to our amazing volunteers, donors, staff, board, and clients. 💛

From the day I met my first partner at a yoga class… to the retirement community that gave us our first office… to watching my daughter play Rummikub with senior residents… this journey has been full of grace and joy.

To my dedicated staff: thank you for your compassion, commitment, and heart. You’ve inspired me every day. And to all who believed in this mission—you made these 23 years possible. 🙏

Senior Access is in great hands, and I’m excited to watch it continue to grow under Jill’s leadership.

From the bottom of my heart: Thank you. 💐

May is National Older Americans Month — a time to honor the strength, wisdom, and contributions of our seniors.

At Senior Access we believe every older adult deserves the freedom to stay independent, connected, and mobile. But with rising costs and more seniors needing help, we can’t do it alone.

Our five vans provide hundreds of free rides each month to grocery stores, medical appointments, and social events — helping seniors live with dignity and avoid isolation.

But we need your help to keep them rolling.

This month, celebrate the older adults who move us — and make a gift to keep them moving, too.

Our Story

Senior Access remains open during the Covid-19 crisis, although the staff is working remotely. Clients are still able to get to needed medical appointments and have access to groceries and medications. Senior Buddies provide great support to help alleviate isolation for so many of our clients. Volunteer driving will start picking back up with safety measures in place such as wearing a mask by both the volunteer and the client, use of hand sanitizers, and the client riding in the back seat. We are grateful for volunteers, donors and supporters who are all fundamental in helping our clients remain independent.
