Safe At Home
Safe At Home is a FREE emergency registration system for residents of Allen County, Indiana. Every year emergency personnel respond to hundreds of telephone calls to homes where there is a possible emergency situation but are unable to gain immediate access to important information. Registering in the Safe at Home Emergency Registration System provides important contact information to
emergency personnel before the emergency occurs. SAFENET
SAFENET is a FREE identification program for individuals with memory impairment. It is common for individuals with memory impairments to wonder and roam. This is a terrifying thought and can be dangerous for the patient and caregivers. SAFENET, in cooperation with local healthcare and law enforcement agencies, can assist in the return of the individual who has wondered. After registration, the patient will get a coupon for a FREE identification bracelet to be redeemed at local Walgreens Drug Stores. A TRIAD representative will contact you to complete the enrollment process which includes optional picture identification. Unwanted Medication Disposal
Unwanted Medication Disposal occurs twice a year in Allen County at selected Walgreens Drug store locations every fourth Friday in September and April from 9am-1pm(April 2011 will be on the 5th Friday due to Good Friday). This program assists in safely disposing of unwanted medications that may have expired, no longer prescribed, or the owner of the medications has passed away. Utilizing this program and properly disposing of medications helps keep seniors and children safe in the home as well as keeps the medications out of the county’s water supply.
