Cupping is essential for removing stress from the body. However, it is not the be-all and end-all to recovering the effects of stress. All of the factors need to be considered, including finding the root cause(s) of where your stress stems from and devising a practical plan on how to ease the stress and take back control of your life. Going to bed at a reasonable time every night, prioritizing rest, finding enjoyment in how you spend your days, and seeking psychological help are all different things that may be considered to work in tandem with your cupping and acupuncture treatments.

In TCM, the person is treated as a whole entity, and that philosophy is no different in how we view one’s life too. Everything that goes on in your life has meaning and effect on your health, and everything needs to be evaluated and taken into consideration to heal your body.🙏🙏🙏

“The true physician teaches the Tao—how to live. Traditional Chinese doctors are trained to cultivate wellness as well as to correct ill health. Planning ahead, Chinese medicine knows that storms interrupt clear weather, that illness stalks and gains a foothold when we are vulnerable. Its strategy is to enable us to withstand the storm without being disabled by it and to accumulate resources in time of good weather, peace, and plenty.”

Infrared heat lamps are used to improve the effectiveness of acupuncture treatments. The heat increases blood flow and circulation at the meridian points in your body that are being stimulated by the needles… and not to mention the warmth is so soothing it may put you right to sleep! 😌

We work on some very purple backs!!! The bright purple/red color from cupping indicates a lot of blockage of Qi in the body. Cupping releases these blockages and improves the blood circulation and Qi in your system, helping with a variety of health conditions, not necessarily just back pain.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an extremely complex ancient healing modality with not just one fixed remedy to a problem. Every blood vessel, organ, and system of the body is inextricably linked… and we explore those connections through TCM, whether it’s acupuncture, prescribing Chinese roots and herbs, or cupping.

Migraines and headaches are unfortunately a common condition that we all experience. There are endless stressors in life and they can take a toll on our mental and physical health. Sometimes we place magnetic pellets on patients to indicate the points on the body to apply pressure to, in this case to treat headaches and migraines.

Acupressure stimulates meridian points to increase the flow of energy throughout your body. You’d be surprised by how just pressing these two points on your hand and arm will alleviate your headaches!

In traditional Chinese medicine, we normally use these magnetic pellets to stimulate pressure points in your ear (otherwise known as ‘ear seeds’), which in turn help with different health conditions that arise from a blockage of energy along the meridian pathways from your ear through the body.

Try pressing these points next time you experience a headache and let us know how it worked for you 🤍

Another patient testimonial, this one regarding acupuncture treatments for muscular pain/injury from a physically intensive/strenuous job, as well as fertility. After a series of treatments, the patient was able to move her limbs freely again without pain. She was also able to conceive and start a family 🙏🤍

We love to hear about our patients’ successful journeys with their treatments. We are committed to the health and healing of our patients.. this is what we live for!!

Happy Monday ~ cupping is an ancient Chinese healing modality that effectively removes the buildup of toxins from your body and releases blockages that may be causing you pain, discomfort, or poor circulation of energy throughout the body.

Cupping provides relief of pain/tension in the body, improvement of overall well-being and sleep, or a treatment to supplement acupuncture. Many athletes are cupped as part of their regular regimen to maintain their body throughout their intense trainings and workouts.

The cupping marks fade 1-2 weeks after treatment. So don’t worry about!

What many patients say they love about our clinic is that we have an Electro Meridian Analysis System (EMAS) to measure patients’ meridians and assess the balance of elemental energy within the body.

In the core of Traditional Chinese Medicine, there are 14 Meridians that run throughout the human body. Their function is to transport the nutrients and blood and Qi (energy force) throughout the body. When the channel is obstructed, illness or discomfort will occur.

By using the EMAS, we can clearly see which meridians are unbalanced and monitor your treatment progress over time. Our clinic’s mission is to combine technology with the ancient healing art of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the EMAS is one incredible approach (and honestly, hard to come by) we’ve used to support our patients in their healing journeys.🌿

First slide shows the meridian analysis of a 21-year-old patient. As you see in her first session, there were many high red bars where her meridians were extremely imbalanced. Over only the course of 4 sessions, we were able to balance her meridian points and improve her menstrual cycle. As you can see, there were mostly green bars shown in the fourth session!

Second slide shows the Electro Meridian Analysis System that we use to measure meridian points on the hands and feet of a patient and produce their meridian chart.

No patient is imbalanced at the physical level only. There are always associated energetic imbalances within the body at the non-physical level. Most people are born with a primary elemental imbalance or acquire it as a result of experience-based trauma. As the primary element is the starting place of imbalance, it spreads energetic disorder throughout the system and symptoms can show up anywhere in the body since all elements are interconnected.

It’s important to seek your acupuncturist so they can properly address your imbalance on the primary element and work to heal your entire body as a result. We all have deep healing to do! 🤍
