Hi, I'm the Kefir Kween! I sell homemade Kefir for humans and their pets in the Fargo, ND area! I am a Microbiologist and a dog mom to 3 very big pups!

My furbabies keep me pretty busy, but I still make time to have a few hobbies. Of course, most of them involve dogs, but it still counts! As a microbiologist, the gut microbiome has had my attention for awhile now and as someone with lifelong digestive issues, I'm always looking for ways to help myself feel better. Kefir is doing just that for me! I started making and drinking Kefir daily and I've

reset my gut microbiome to one that is healthy and I've never felt better. I also started a special batch of Kefir grains that have dog and cat specific probiotics integrated into them for the most important “people” in my life, my dogs! Our senior dog's digestive issues are a thing of the past and our younger dogs' skin and allergy issues have improved greatly as well! Kefir has become my passion, and sharing it with others and helping them live their best lives has been amazing! I'm here to help, so contact me with any questions!

Happy Friday Junior Everyone! I finally got around to making our donation! I was waiting on a few late orders that I added to the donation. We've just donated $175 to 4Luv of Dog Rescue! Thank you for helping me make an impact in our community by treating your dogs to some much deserved, healthy treats!

Hey everybody, it's August! That means our charity treat drive has ended🙁 But the good news is, we beat my goal of $150 of donations! We were able to get up to $160 total!!! I'm so happy to serve such a great group of customers! I'll be sharing a screenshot once I make the donation to 4 Luv of Dog. Stay tuned!

Happy Monday Everyone! Update on our charity treat drive- we're up to $90 in treat sales and a generous customer has agreed to match up to $50, so we're currently at $140 total!!! That's amazing, but there's still time to get a treat order in if you haven't had a chance yet. I'd love to get us over $150!
Remember all proceeds will be donated to 4 Luv of Dog Rescue and treat bags are only $5/ bag. If you've never tried the treats, now's the perfect time! What are you waiting for? Your dog NEEDS treats!🤣

Happy Saturday Friends! We had a somewhat poor turnout for the Charity treat drive, probably due to the holiday, so I've decided to extend it through the end of the month! Get those frozen treat orders in and ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to 4 LUV of Dog Rescue here in Fargo. Plus, I'll give VIP pricing to EVERYONE! $5 a bag for 36 delicious, healthy, frozen goodies for your fur baby! Let's face it, they need a way to cool down in this heat 🥵

Summer Charity Drive Starts...NOW!
Friends, summer is in full swing and our pups LOVE their frozen kefir treats this time of year! So I started thinking about doing a treat promotion, but then I noticed that 4 Luv of Dog Rescue got slammed with a huge insurance bill last week. My VIP group members know I love to do Charity drives, but this time I thought I'd bring in everyone!
From today through July 4th, proceeds from all treat orders will be donated to 4 Luv of Dog! I will make all the treats and have them ready for pickup July 7th.
If you've never tried the treats, now is the perfect time! Support a great local charity and treat your dog right while doing it!

Friends, Allergy Season is in full swing and if you've got a dog with seasonal allergies, I've got good news for you! Kefir can help! If your dog is already on kefir, but you've noticed some renewed scratching, biting, or chewing behavior, go ahead and up that dose of kefir. Tormund was having the same problem last weekend. After a few days of increasing his kefir dose, those behaviors disappeared! If you try that and don't have any luck, this new product might be right for your pup!
Full disclosure- This isn't really a "brand new product". I've been using this mix for a few of my more allergy prone doggo customers for awhile now, but I've just revamped my product list and included this as an option! If you've never tried plain kefir for your dog's seasonal allergies, I suggest doing that first, but if you've tried plain kefir and raising kefir dosage and it isn't giving you the results you'd like, this is your next step. Colostrum is a powerful allergy reducing ingredient and is used in many natural dog allergy products on the market. It isn't cheap however, especially when you use the high quality Colostrum without fillers. For that reason, I do recommend trying plain kefir first and moving up to adding colostrum as needed. And another little disclaimer in the spirit of full transparency, Kefir and Colostrum may not be helpful if your dog is suffering from undiagnosed food allergies. If normal treatments aren't helping and kefir and colostrum doesn't seem to be helping, there may be a food allergy involved. That being said, if your dog is on Apoquel or another immune depressor to treat allergies, kefir can help to keep their natural bacterial immune function high to help prevent common bacterial, yeast, and viral infections from taking hold while the immune system is depressed. Doggie allergies are a complex issue and kefir is not a cure-all, but many of my customers have had great success controlling them with plain kefir or kefir and colostrum mix. Hey Everyone,
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. As some of you know, we recently had to say goodbye to our sweet Greta. Greta was a big part of getting me into making kefir and to say it changed her life is an understatement. She went from consistent bouts of stress colitis and pancreatitis to having a tummy of steel. It helped her anxiety, though it didn't take it away completely. It gave her back that spring in her step. But kefir can't solve every problem, and so her time with us came to an end. Additionally, we also had a devastating loss in our family, so by the time I was ready to post regarding Greta, I got hit with another loss. So, I just wanted to say "Thank you for your patience" as I've been incognito for awhile and having to adjust schedules for people. But do expect some exciting announcements coming soon! As always, I appreciate all of my customers and will always do my best to answer any questions and make sure you don't run out of kefir! Kefir can help us and our pets to live our best lives for as long as possible, so get out there and enjoy your life and those you love everyday because tomorrow isn't guaranteed for any of us.

If you've got a dog or cat with dry skin and a dull coat, these treats along with their regular kefir can give them the boost they need! The skin and coat treats are packed full of Omega 3's and Omega 6's from safe, natural sources; sardines, flax, and chia. Both dogs and cats love the sardine flavor and unlike other larger fish species, sardines have very low mercury content, meaning they're safer for your furry friend! And because I use sardines in water, rather than oil, you won't see those oily poops pets can get when getting fish oil supplements. Flax and chia not only have Omega 3's and Alpha-linolenic Acid, but are full of potassium and a good source of fiber and plant protein. In addition, chia is especially good at helping to regulate moisture levels in the stool, aka, less runny poops for your best friend. Your Reminder for today is to take care of yourself first and Kefir Kween has decided to take her own advice! I've recently become pretty swamped with work and personal obligations and my body told me it was time to slow things down a bit. One place where it's easy for me to slow down is Facebook posts. While I love making them, it does take quite a bit of my "free" time and adds to my daily stress levels trying to juggle working in a lab for 40hrs, being a wife and dog mom, being the Kefir Kween, and spending time volunteering on the weekends. From now on, I'll post as I can, but at least once a week. In the mean time, if you're curious about specific benefits of Kefir, or products I make, feel free to reach out on messenger. I always make time to answer messages! And remember, it's ALWAYS a good idea to listen to your body and take care of yourself FIRST!
