Being a parent is one of the most rewarding roles, but it’s also one of the most challenging. Between balancing work, family, and everything in between, it’s easy to forget to take care of yourself. But remember, your mental health is just as important as the care you give to others. 🌱

It’s okay to admit that parenting isn’t always easy. It’s okay to have tough days. Here are a few gentle reminders for parents:

Did you know your body holds onto emotions and stress? Somatic awareness is the practice of tuning into your body’s sensations, helping you reconnect with yourself and find balance. 🧠💖

When we’re overwhelmed or anxious, we often forget to check in with our bodies. By simply pausing and noticing what’s happening in our physical selves—tightness in your shoulders, a racing heart, or a clenched jaw—we can begin to release tension and create space for healing. 🌱

Here are a few ways to practice somatic awareness:

Pause & Breathe: Take a moment to focus on your breath, feeling it fill your body and noticing where you hold tension.
Scan Your Body: Gently check in with each part of your body, starting from your toes and moving up. Are there areas of discomfort or tightness? What are they telling you?
Move Mindfully: Try simple movements like stretching, shaking, or walking to release built-up tension.
