Dear friend,
Lately, I’ve been hearing a common theme from clients, students, and friends:
“I feel paralyzed.”
“I can’t focus on my goals.”
“How can I care about my dreams when the world feels like it’s crumbling?”
I feel it too.
There’s a collective heaviness in the air right now—here in the U.S. and beyond. The news, the political climate, the violence, the injustice, the fear of what’s next… it’s enough to make even the most grounded soul feel like they're floating in uncertainty.
So if you're struggling to meditate, to manifest, to take steps toward your purpose… please know this:
✨ You are not broken.
✨ You are not lazy.
✨ You are not alone.
This is spiritual paralysis—a state where the body and spirit contract in response to chaos. It's a protective pause. A natural, human reaction to an overwhelming world.
But here’s what I believe:
Even in stillness, you are growing.
Even in pause, your spirit is listening.
Even in fear, you are still sacred.
Now is not the time to force yourself to "power through."
Now is the time to breathe, grieve, pray, cry, rest, re-anchor.
To hold your heart with compassion, and remember that your dreams are not disappearing—they’re simply waiting in the quiet for the right moment to rise.
If you don’t know how to move forward, start with one small thing:
A walk. A candle. A stretch. A journal entry. A moment of silence with your hand on your chest whispering, “I’m still here.” "I know intros moment that I am breathing."
You don’t have to leap forward.
You just have to keep showing up—with love, however you can. Life's one guarantee is that you will and must keep going. The world dances onward, even when it is dark...and so shall you!
In solidarity,
James Bene
