When it’s hot, your body works overtime to cool down by circulating nearly twice as much blood per minute compared to a normal day. This means your heart beats faster and works harder.

🔺Risk increases when:
• Temps are over 70°F
• Humidity is above 70%

👥Who’s most at risk?
• Adults over 50
• Individuals with heart, lung, or kidney conditions
• Those who are overweight

💧Stay safe: Hydrate, avoid peak heat hours, and check in with your doctor if you’re managing a chronic condition.

These symptoms could be signs of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition where your veins struggle to return blood back to your heart.

Here’s why it matters:
💉 Your leg veins work overtime against gravity to push blood back to your heart.
🚨 When the “venous pumps” fail, blood can pool, leading to swelling, fatigue, and varicose veins.
🩵 These veins aren’t just a cosmetic concern ...they’re a warning sign of a deeper circulatory issue.

While women are more likely to seek treatment, men are just as at risk. Ignoring the symptoms won’t make them go away, AND it can seriously impact your overall health.

✅ This Men’s Health Month, take your symptoms seriously.
✅ Talk to a specialist.
✅ Don’t let CVI slow you down.

Men can certainly get them, too, especially if you spend long hours on your feet, sit for extended periods, or aren’t as active as you should be.

Ignoring varicose veins may lead to advanced varicose vein problems:
🔹Leg ulcers
🔹Spontaneous bleeding
🔹Disease progression
🔹Scarring
🔹Thrombosis
🔹Vein inflammation

🦵 Take charge of your vein health
👟 Move more
🛋️ Sit less
