Through her work, she’s helping others understand that autism is not something to "fix" — it's something to respect, celebrate, and understand. At Margaret’s Place, CJ found a community that listens, supports, and empowers. And now, she’s using her voice to make sure others with autism feel seen, heard, and valued.

Margaret’s Place hosted our very own Farm Field Day—right on our own property! 🐐🐓With the help of our amazing community, we brought the farm to us—complete with adorable animals, fun games, and sunshine-filled joy for everyone. Huge thanks to our incredible volunteers and those who gifted items from our wishlist—your generosity made the day unforgettable! 🐍Wellness Looks Different When Soul Child Awakenings Shows Up!
🫶🏾As a proud community partner of Utopia Point KC, Soul Child Awakenings brings unique, soul-nourishing experiences to Margaret's Place Adult Recreation and Wellness Center — and this year, she brought something unforgettable...

✨ A python named Malihuē!

Participants and staff alike had the chance to hold, connect with, and learn from this calm, beautiful snake — and believe it or not, it was a powerful wellness moment.

Here’s how holding a snake connects to healing and wholeness:

🌿 Mind Over Fear
Many of us carry fears that are rooted in the unknown. Gently holding Malihuē gave our community a chance to lean into discomfort with curiosity instead of fear — and that’s healing.

🧘🏾‍♂️ The Power of Presence
Snakes don’t rush. They move with intention and awareness. Being close to Malihuē reminded us to slow down, breathe deeply, and be fully present in the moment.

🔁 Transformation Energy
In many cultures, snakes symbolize rebirth, wisdom, and growth. Just like in our own wellness journeys, transformation often comes from unexpected places.

This experience — like all that Soul Child Awakenings offers — was more than fun. It was soul work, disguised as an activity.

Wellness in Motion at Margaret’s Place! 🎶✨Yesterday, our amazing partner Margaret's Place Adult Recreation and Wellness Center brought the energy with a joyful dance session — and we couldn’t be more proud to support it!

Dancing isn’t just about fun (though there was plenty of that) — it’s also a beautiful way to promote wellness. Movement like this supports heart health, lifts mood, reduces stress, and encourages social connection — all key elements of the holistic wellness we champion here at Utopia Point.
