We were able to get an early pick up from the National Guard today, and the water is headed to the front lines.

When was the last time you thought about Little Miss Muffet?
That seems like a far cry from Cow Appreciation Day but the joy of reciting this nursery rhyme brought back memories, joy and laughter as we taught one of our young volunteers this rhyme.

Enjoying some ice cream and making Cow Bells reminded us of simpler times, days on the dairy farms milking cows, and educating each other on what Miss Muffet was eating when she was actually eating her curds and whey!

Much thanks to our volunteers for helping to organize the Cow Bell Craft!

Believe it or not, two participants in today's activity have ACTUALLY been out Cow Tipping, before!

A couple fun facts :
Cows chew 8 hours a day and only sleep 4 hours a day!

Our prayers and our hearts continue to be with grieving families and the first responders and search crews of the Independence Day Flood in the Hill Country.
The Residents and Team Members of The Heights on Huebner are having a Hydration Drive and are asking for donations of water and sports drinks. Items dropped off will be taken to the front lines and wherever is needed in response.

We are working with the San Antonio community and advocates for delivery times, but asking for donations to be dropped off at The Heights on Huebner by Monday, July 14, 2025.

After experiencing a spinal cord injury that left him unable to stand or walk without complete assistance, our amazing patient was determined to regain mobility and independence. With the support of his therapy team at Del Rio Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, he is now able to walk and stand using just his walker. What an incredible accomplishment!

We are praying for a safe Independence Day to all of our friends and family!

We extend a heartfelt prayer to our friends in and around Kerr County this holiday who are experiencing extreme flooding! Praying for those who have lost loved ones and those still searching this holiday weekend.
