Camp Mendingheart Jr. 2025 was a great success! Avow Kids campers were able to build confidence, resilience, and connection while processing loss, grief, and life changes in a FUN overnight camp.

From creating craft hearts to honor loved ones, cheering each other on at the pool, designing comfort pillowcases, and sharing meals together, every activity fosters support, joy, and healing.

Campers left with new tools to navigate grief, stronger friendships, and memories of meaningful experiences.

A special thank you to our community partners and for the continued support and generosity to provide no-cost programs and services to kids in Southwest Florida.

🌟 This month, we're excited to spotlight Ximena, our amazing Lead Social Services Counselor! Known for her kindness and uplifting spirit, she is always ready to go above and beyond for all whom she serves.

As part of our hospice home care team, she exemplifies the vital role social workers play across both hospice and palliative care. They readily assist patients and families by connecting them with community resources, coordinating services beyond Avow’s scope, and offering crucial psychosocial support to improve quality of life.
